You're talking WAY of people's heads here. You have provided a question that dumbfounds the psudo-intellectual atheists and religious.
Congrats
It's not an easy one to pull off
I'll be the first to admit, and I studied pschology and was an Army medic, you were a first for me!
This is even more esoteric than Raynaud's disease.
YOu work with these people! You must have far more patience than Job ever could!
This is the TV crowd, so don't expect people to be smarter or more mature than a 5th grader. TV is 4th grade and below!

Serious questions are either attacked or ignored for the most part. It's a shame, really. When I first came here a sincere question could easily receive 50+ answers, and my own personal best is 113 on a different account, which has since been deleted. Now, if I reach 20 answers I'm thrilled to no end. The first 3 or 4 to answer will usually be point-gamers with very brief answers.
People will attack anyone for any reason, and I truly don't understand why this is. Your question in no way deserved the viciousness, but small minds seem to abound and apparently a few of them found their way to your question.
I'm sorry this happened to you.

Well, don't worry, it won't be here much longer.... the FCC will be selling the internet to private companies, so they can "edit" our so called "freedom of speech". The internet will be privitized and it won't even get any debate on the floor of the congress. Probably another "fast track" debit card from the people to the greedy multinational corporations.... the act will be completed in June 2007.
Bye-bye, it's been nice knowing ya'll. Pretty soon, we will have to pay per letter, if BIG BUSINESS and BIG BROTHER get their way.
OK, you youngersters, now you need to remember how "free" the internet was once upon a time, so you can tell your children.
Get ready, the internet will be just another propagand machine "owned and controlled" by big business, and since we know they don't want ANY competition, they will raise the fees so high, nobody but the richest can apply.... it's the new allowable discrimination.....it used to be "Irish need not apply".... then "WOPS and DIEGOS", etc and now, anybody can play, as long as you have enough money.
Good luck, America. I think the "experiment" is over and democracy lost.

You actually had better answers than the question deserved.
People who believe ion God are typically those who see the world as a black and white place. They only see it as good or evil, God or Satan. They have neither the interest or time to consider anything but simple judgmental dichotomy.
Your attempt to equate nonreligious people with a neurological disorder was insulting to those suffering from the disorder and demeaning to nonbelievers.
You should be ashamed of yourself for asking it.
Especially since we all know that the belief in God is related to damage in the temporal lobes of the brain.

I find your question interesting, as I have a nephew with Asperger's, and as we look back as a family, we see others who are now adults, who clearly had it as children - it just was not a known syndrome at that time.
My nephew belongs to a family that definitely believes in God, and all the kids have gone to Bible school in the summer, etc. I might make it a point to ask if he has had difficulties with the concept of God.
I think it's a good question.

I post thought provoking questions all the time and while I receive some negative responses - the trolls do not waste their time with me and I think those who answer are pious on the other side of the computer screen BUT they maintain a false ego to impress their friends.

For the most part people will answer it just to answer with no thought involved just to reach a new level like they get a prize at the end.

Sorry, I read your question, yet could not grasp the point that you were trying to make. Maybe others had this same problem, as most seemed to not grasp it either. This is not an attack, btw...it's an answer. Sometimes answers are not what you want to hear.

People sidestep, if I may borrow someone else's terminolgy,. They spew hate for no reason. I answered your first question and was saddened by some of the rude and hateful answers you got.

Well, i read your question and did not know enough about Asperger's to answer---my daughter has a friend who has Asperger's, though. I did not think you sounded condescending, so I did not get that. People want to know the motive behind the question, though, and they can get defensive. you did not offend me; you just made me THINK.
