Ok, so i have this really cute guy friend, that I've known for 9 years. From a friend i found out that he likes me, and i like him too. The only problem is he always acts shy around me and barely talks, since i found out that he likes me. I want him to make the first move, but hes afraid i would get mad or something, ruining our friendship. I really want to make the first move, but im afriad he might get scared, or getting faced with rejection. What should i do? Should i just go for it?

How old are you and how old is he?

How do you know he is afraid that you would get mad?

Maybe he is not that into you.

Maybe he does not want to date.

I say -no-do not make the first move. All men, no matter how shy, will make a move if they are really interested in a girl.

hey there Amanda. from a guy's point of view, i certainly wouldn't be upset with you if you made the first move, I'd be elated! your friend is probably one of them shy kinds, and i don't think he'd make the first move in a few millenniums. he's waiting for you, you're waiting for him, this won't end! if you're certain he likes you, and you're sure you like him yourself, go for it girl! some guys are just like that, they don't got the guts to make the first move, it is a very gut wrenching thing to do! so if you are confident of it, i say go get him girl. you'll never know unless you try. would you rather try, and end up with him OR rejected, or would you rather not ask at all, and have it bug you your whole life for he might have been the one true love?

go for it. ;)

My wife & I knew each other for 7 yr b4 we dated. We met 1st week of college and ran in the same crowd. 3 yr after grad I ran into her at a hot dog stand. She asked me out. 5 weeks later she proposed to me. We got married the next night. That was almost 41 yr ago.

Nah, wait a few more years and continue to wonder why he is so reluctant to initiate something. Its safer.

Of course you need to make the first move but I would at least wait until your in middle school
