I'll go with the acura without giving it much thought. More performance, more reliable more beautiful.

For a lot of practical reasons I'd lean towards the Acura RL. It has Honda's high reliability and low depreciation, better gas mileage, more front & rear leg room, and perhaps most importantly, it is cheaper feature-for-feature (see http://truedelta.com, RL comes out to over $2000 cheaper when fully loaded).
For some less-than-practical reasons I prefer the S80. Better styling (S80 is tasteful and classy, RL is just boring and already rather dated looking). It's got a V8. It's less common. It's a new design, whereas the RL is around 3 years old.
If you can truly afford either car, I'd personally go with the S80 just because I think Acuras are too common and boring. But if you trade it in or re-sell it in a few years, don't be surprised if the S80 is suddenly 10-20% less valuable than the (initially cheaper) RL. The S80 screams "wait to buy me used, you'll get a great deal!" to me, same as Saab, Jaguar, and pretty much any other European brand.

It depends. If you are looking for the Volvo with the 6cyl, it's not worth it. The 6cyl is very deceiving for a car this price. The 8 cyl is a great engine.
If you need a lot of cargo space, the S80 is more suited for you. For a big car, the RL's trunk has nothing spectacular.
If you live in the north, the RL has an excellent awd system. Very nice feature.
Reliability is also better with the RL, the fit and finish and the RL is very very quiet.
If for you, back seat space and trunk space is not important, I'd get the Acura. I have owned 4 acuras and never had any problems, loved them all the way. They are just great cars.
Here's another model you should consider: The Infiniti M45.
The V8 engine is great, the interior is very very good looking, I think you'd be impressed. It looks very modern and classy at the same time and you can get rear-wheel drive or awd.
The trunk space is between the RL and S80.
good luck

Hey man it all comes down to which car can you picture yourself in the longest. Granted the Altima has just been redisgned and will look like that for about 3 to 4 years, while the TL is more of a luxury car. Personally I would go with the Acura even though the Altima is a little cheaper and has a little more power. Test drive first before you buy and read cunsumer reviews. If you do decide to go with the Nissan, wait until the 2008 model, because that allows the 2007 models to revail any potential problems the car may have. Good Luck

I'll go with the Acrua RL because of its super trick SH-AWD (Super Handling-All Wheel Drive) and 3.5 liter SOHC 24-valve V-6 with 290 HP, and 256 lb-ft of torque routed to a 5 speed auto with decent fuel economy of 18 city and 26 highway based on the old EPA rating. I am aware the 2007 Acura RL is more pricy then the base 2007 Volvo S80 but I'll still go with the RL.

Volvo is safer. Acura is more fashionable. What exactly are you looking for? If you're young, I would go with the Acura. If you're looking for a car that'll stay with you for a long time, or if you have a family already, I would pick the Volvo. (That new security system it comes with is awesome!!)

I would pick the Volvo, they are safer. I like the looks of the Acura, but I now prefer safety over looks.
