Amen sister. Hard to come out of the Christian closet when you automatically get lumped with bigots. Stay patient, and speak your truth - there is enough anger out there without our adding to it. Peace.

I'm a Christian, but don't pigeon-hole me. I am an 'old-Earth' creation believer; scientific evidence and the early chapters of the book of Genesis coincide. God may have used a process similar to evolution to create myriads of life forms on Earth (indeed, His form of evolution may be similar to 'beta-testing' a computer program). Thank God you don't beat someone over the head with the Bible (OK, fundamental Christians, don't get pissy with me; you see the splinter in my eye but not the board in yours); just live your good Christian life, treat people the same way you want to be treated, and educate yourself both spiritually and intellectually.

COMPLETELY agree with you on Christians being judgmental...I left an unnamed denomination with that being one of the main reasons. My interpretation is that Jesus was big on that, but I also try to follow ALL of His other teachings and I don't really think we get to pick and choose our own morality. Of course, we don't judge others, but we are certainly responsible for ourselves. Reread the Gospels--they are beautiful. It will make you want to be like Jesus in the way that you live.

I always see this as a time when Christians have the right and duty to correct their fellow Christians and remind all, "judge not lest ye shall be judged." We non-Christians tend to be ignored when we bring this subject up. Good luck!

People like you need to be more vocal. The extremists are tarnishing the Christian image.
Look at what some of the Christians are already saying about your beliefs here.

tired of it. don't share any of those views. I believe micro evolution occured somewhere along the line, but not macro.
partying is relative. no immorality, just having fun, sure. I don't try to push my beliefs on anyone though. I just have a problem with people who drag others to Hell with them

Well you see, thats the problem. Christianity right now has come under such fire because of the contradictions found under the Bible that it is hard not to be judged. My advice is that if you really believe that Jesus will save you, and EVERYONE that is not Christian will go to hell, then believe in it firmly. I honestly cannot accept this ...

I'm Episcopalian and i feel the same way you do. The reason why we're judged/stereotyped is that the only Christians you here about on TV are the ones who hate gays and such.

The problem with your belief is that it has no foundation. Like a wave of the sea tossed about to a fro.
As Jesus says; A house without a foundation shall surely fall. And how great will that fall be.
He also said we can not serve to masters. For you will hate the one and despise the other.

maybe God used the big bang to create the universe and evolution to create life. Never judge, but show kindness and love to everyone, even if they are gay. Pray for them, and for all of us sinners. God bless!
