For institence Armageddon refers to the Euphrates river drying up. That particuler river lies in Iraq and is one of that countrys major life lines. Also it took the U.S. Army only 2 months to win in Afganastan a land locked country. But they are still fighting in Iraq which has at least one major sea port. The country with the most strength and the most to lose in that region hasnt been allowed to have any say in the new Iraqi government. That country is Turkey. We seem to be showing our hatred of Muslims by not letting them solve their own problems. The more we insult them the angrier they will get. We seem to be daring God to bring on the last battle of Revelation. If the Turks split with NATO to come to the aid of their brothers we could see a war like none since Hitler marched into Poland. Again the Euphrates runs through Turkey. History has proven that the longer a war is waged the easier it is for the rebels to win. And with nuclear weapons the option is worse.

predicting the apacolypse has been going on since Nero was throwing Christians to the lions, every turn of the Century, every end of the millenia, the 7th Day Adventists had their day in 1912, the Jim Jones cult and wacko in Waco both had their days, every passing of Haley's comet, eclipse of the sun and other end-of earth prophesies that i'm sure i missed. One thing you can be sure of, the arsenals of the US and Russia can obliterate a million Hiroshimas.....anyway, sleep tight.

Absolutely not.

I personally have been to Turkey 6 times in my life. Turks are secular people. Just because they are Muslims does not mean they are fanatics. Turkey has gone through great lengths to get itself into EU, and to show that pretty much anthing can happen, the Greeks have given the Turks support to get into the EU. Turks, Arabs, Kurds, and Persians are all "Middle Easterners" but they are all different. Dont lump them up.

Also, Turkey, Syria, and Iraq are all quarreling over the rights to use the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers. Each of the countries have several damns in operation and each country is worried about the other using all the water up. The last thing they are going to do is unite and they definately are not "brothers."

As far as your "end of the world," there has been fighting in the Euphrates River Valley for thousands of years, well before and after Christianity, and it is not going to stop. Christians once thought the apocalypse was upon us when Attila the Hun was rampaging through Europe. Everyone thought the world was going to end when the calendar hit 1000 A.D. Muslims and Christians alike thought that the introduction of the Mongols and Genghis Khan was the end of the world as well. But we are all still here.

Also, we did not "win in Afghanistan in 2 months" our troops are still fighting there and Al Qaida are still on the loose, if you watch/believe the news.

Your next point - "We seem to be daring God to bring on the last battle of Revelation."

With that observation, what is your opinion on the Crusades? Perhaps God did step in on that one? (I am a Christian, but I am just playing devil's advocate here).

And on your closing statement - "History has proven that the longer a war is waged the easier it is for the rebels to win. And with nuclear weapons the option is worse. "

That statement holds absolutely no truth. Our American Civil War lasted 5 years and the "rebels" lost. They were winning all the way up to 1863 as well. History has proven if you keep at your enemy you might eventually wear them down. That is how the Union managed to turn the tide in the civil war.

Generally most groups that are labelled as "rebels" take the IRA, PLO, Al Qaida, Baasque separatists, Kurdish separatists, etc., these groups have no financial legs to stand on (i.e. no means for a constant revenue like taxes, so they have to rely on donations), and operate out of remote areas in the shadows and not in the open. The British government and the IRA fought for nearly 80 years and who ended up on top? I could cite more examples of "rebels" losing but the point would be moot.

i do no longer think of it truly is the initiating of Armeggedon, yet I do have faith that it truly is only yet another area of the puzzle. Revelation says that the "end" is an end to the rule of mankind on earth. guy has been in cost for extremely nearly 6,000 years. (6 is the form of guy and666 is the devine sort of mankind, no longer the form of devil). 7 is the form of God (and final touch). on the tip of roughly 6,000 of guy, God will sparkling the Earth of sin, permit each and every thing and all and sundry be at peace for a million,000 years. After this devil would be delt with one final time and God will rule constantly. 2Pe 3:9 The Lord isn't slack on the subject of his promise, as some count sort slackness; yet is longsuffering to you-ward, no longer wishing that any might desire to perish, yet that each and every person might desire to come to repentance. 2Pe 3:10 however the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a large noise, and the climate would be dissolved with fervent warmth, and the earth and the works that are therein would be burned up. 2Pe 3:11 considering those issues are subsequently all to be dissolved, what way of persons ought ye to be in all holy residing and godliness, 2Pe 3:12 searching for and earnestly needing the arriving of the day of God, by skill of reason of which the heavens being on hearth would be dissolved, and the climate shall soften with fervent warmth? 2Pe 3:13 yet, in accordance to his promise, we seek for brand spanking new heavens and a sparkling earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

I believe that the world is still evolving and such fullfillment is not up to a last battle such as Armageddon. As long as the world is creating be assure that life will continue to exist. But
we must also remember that GOD is the ultimate judge and when He decides to come it will be about evil verses good. It will be about evildoers and the resolution of satan. It will be about salvation or an eternity in hell. It will be about a new beginning.

The middle east is the beginning, this was designed to drain us down. then you have EZEKIEL Chapter 38 when Russia, China and their allies attack the U.S. from the north. In 1999 China was conducting military exercises near Taiwan and a reporter there from the BBC asked them what are you training for, their answer was the invasion of America. Just think of all the Costco shipping ports around this country right now

Armageddon is not coming.

I think you're looking into this far too much... yes the war has gone on unreasonably long, and there is no foreseeable end... but armageddon? come on... lets not be rediculous.

Too many if's but's and maybe's in your statement.

No. Why do you think the Turks and Arabs are "brothers"? They traditionally don't like each other...
