I despise it. I think it demoralizes women, men and the act of sex. We were created as sexual beings, monogamous sexual beings that is. This should not be taped and viewed by the world for perverse pleasures. It should be very intimate, very private and very special. It isn't special when everyone is watching. I do not understand how women or men could just allow themselves to be used in that way. It saddens me so much.

I don't watch porn. I hate it. It is so degrading. It causes people to lose respect for others. It causes them to want to experience what they watch and that is why so many crimes are committed. I have read that it causes a chemical imbalance in people and that is why we have so many people that are bipolar and so many that are suffering from depression. The Bible says to abstain from the very appearance of evil. I definitely feel that it is wrong. Pray and ask the Lord to help you to overcome the desire that you are fighting with this. He says whatsoever things are true, whatsoever are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever are pure, whatsoever things are lovely; whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. If we will read our Bibles and pray every day, then He will be there to help us with the struggles that the flesh desires. If we yield to the flesh, then we will do what the flesh desires, but if we feed the spiritual man, God will help us! You will be in my prayers! Hang in there!

It's the soft porn that's so dangerous because it is so subtle. I mean, women wearing deeply low cut gowns to sell cars and/or vodka in commericals and magazine ads? And the new TV commercial about Beano with the woman in the lap of the Beano character and then meeting him in the closet? Women DO exploit themselves too much. I mean....they GET PAID for those ads/commercials...no-one forces them to do that!

Good for you. I don't watch porn. I have a filter on our computer to help with that too... it's everywhere, and it can come at you out of the blue without you asking for it.
Most of us recognize that major violations of integrity can enslave us: pornography leads to addiction; fraud and embezzlement lead to prison. But seemingly minor flaws in our integrity also enslave us. Whether our temptation is to shade the truth, to cut corners, or to take advantage of an employer, the rationalizations that we use to justify these breaches of integrity enslave us rather than free us. We fail to recognize that the law gives freedom, the freedom of having nothing to hide.

Never have I watched porn or even looked at a dirty magazine (nor my husband). My relationship with my husband never has needed artificial supplements. It is wrong to treat women as objects.

I do not. I think most of us are a little titillated by it, but most of us here see the problems with it and that is why we spend more of our time in a forum like this and not watching porn.

I don't make a habit of watching porn. I do watch it from time to time with my husband. I don't see a major problem with occasional viewing. The problem comes when people get addicted to it.

We used to sit around in the barracks and watch it after throwing back more than a few drinks... Granted, we were also munching on popcorn and laughing allot.. But hey, we were bored!
I don't think porn exploits just women. There is child pornography, gay pornography, bestiality and of course "Snuff Films". These are all exploits, and unfortunately, if there wasn't a market for them they wouldn't make them.

I've never had an interest in it so I have no idea what the obsession is all about with it. I have no reason to hate it or like it.

I don't watch it at all. Physical intimacy is a gift from God that is given to us with parameters in which to enjoy it. It shouldn't be a marketable product.
