Why do christians refer to their religion as," truth"?

Christians don't base their beliefs on evidence and proof like science does. In science, we continuesly find out new things and update our beliefs in something; thus it never is the truth because scientists know that we keep improving on what we know. Christians however base everything on the bible, which doesn't change with time, so they say it is the truth.

Its the fine print that you see at the bottom of a contract where it states in large type that it is the "TRUTH", while in the small type "as they see it." It is just too hard for them to believe that there could possibly be any other religions and they get tired of we Non-Christians telling them that there are.

All of them have to claim to know to an absolute certainty what the one and only true path to salvation is, otherwise the flock will wander away to somebody else who is certain he has the answer. Thats why they all claim to be right. After seeing the lies in many religons and finding one that actually tells the truth they are stunned and began calling this new religon the truth.
the truth is the bible doesn't say you are kept alive to be tortured forever. It says for dust you are and to dust you will return. I think that is the biggest lie.
They fail to tell people that Jesus said, the meek will inherit the earth. Psalms 37:9,10,11,29 and the earth is going to be here forever.
