Religion is often used as a justification for war, but it is rarely (if ever) the true cause.
With that said, religion does not always lend to peace, either.

Man would still find something to fight over even if there is no religion. True, wars have been fought in the name of religion but what would the world be like without religion?
Christianity is a religion of peace. It is not religion that causes wars but men who interpret and administer religion that causes wars.
Peace and blessings!
Peace and blessings!

History shows us that Religion=War. Religions may promote peace and brotherhood but that is a facade. Just look at who voted Bush into office and supported the war at the outset (i.e., did many conservative Christians vote democrat?). And Islam speaks for itself. I'm sure there are some religions that do equal peace, but the religions that the majority of folks subscribe to equal War.

OMG! That's ironic! I'm reading a book called 'SOON' and it's about after world war III and it was a religion war. Anyway, I think it will eventually lead to war, but hopefully peace will prevail

suggested judgements - it truly is the aspect that has been lacking for some years now. for instance is the respondant who suggested that they hadn't analyze the achieved question, yet already believed it replaced into faux. yet isn't that purely like the non secular sturdy? Love the sinner yet hate the sin. danger free till eventually shown to blame, helpful sentiments, yet far flung from truth. it fairly is amazingly exciting that for the era of a time of diverse priestly sexcapade scandals ravaging the Catholic Church that the bishops would rail adversarial to homosexuality at the same time as there are such fairly a number of more beneficial urgent concerns at hand. N. Korea has nukes. Iran is attempt firing ICBM's. Bush continues to be extremely than artwork. no individual knows how a gay guy extremely feels except he's gay. i do now no longer fault Haggard. Society places unreasonable rigidity on each and all people in some kind or yet another. "Me thinks he doth protest too plenty" continually equates to, "Do what I say, now no longer what I do." Empathy in effortless words is going to date. Love is a bittersweet mistress at ideal, and at worst, it might want to damage your life. the item factors out the hypocrisy of the non secular sturdy, and so it would. ok, probably we are no longer on the aspect the position humanity takes an infinite genetic leap ahead, yet we are on the aspect at the same time as social popularity, tolerance and information is about to coach the global the diverse way up. keep on, it will be an enticing adventure.

Religion should = peace because God says only righteous people enter Heaven and only those who believe in him and asked Jesus to be his savior can enter Heaven. I'd say religion= peace.

Religion as an individuals quest and moral support and guidance = peace
Religion as a political and state tool of oppression (as it always is when not individual) = war

It depends on the person. It breaks my heart to see people using religion to justify their wrongs, and yet religion has brought so much happiness and faith as well. It's a double-edged sword. It can benefit you but if you're careless it'll hurt everyone.
