My 11month old kitten has an EXTREMELY dripping nose, literally like a leaky faucet. The "liquid" is clear and he's acting normal (no sneezing, no fatigue etc). Does anyone know whats wrong with my kitty? Thanks in advance!

Try rubbing her under her chin, does that help? If it does, she's just not swallowing enough. It's a good idea to have the vet check her for any problems like ulcers, there are a few reasons for excessive "watering".

Are you certain that it's his nose that's dripping? When a cat shows affection, it sometimes triggers a slight drooling response. Many cats snore in their sleep. We can hear our 12 year-old from the next room. If his nose is definitely the source of the drip, my advice is to have a vet look at him. He could have a respiratory problem, perhaps even an allergy. URIs can become serious quite suddenly, but since your little boy has had it so long, it seems as though it may be allergies or a congenital problem. Since it sounds like you haven't had him to a vet in two years, he's long overdue. Look in the Yellow Pages for low cost clinics or call you local humane society to find out which clinics offer discount days. Our VCA animal hospital discounts vaccinations every Wednesday and offers a senior citizen discount. Hope this helps.

call your vet. He probably should be seen by the vet because cats can get upper respiratory infections and you don't want that to happen. Its not normal to have a dripping nose. get to the vet and help your kitty. Think about getting a book on cats and health

Does this happen all the time? My cats noses drip when they are happy or very relaxed as does my greyhound's nose. My cat will also drool on me. If you are concerned it never hurts to check with your vet. Give them a call and they should tell you if it is something you should be concerned about. It could also be allergies.

Also, I have links below with different sites and their opinions.

He just has a cold, honey... I'd take him to the vet if he's under a year old, though. They'll give you some eye ointment for him, I suspect... Also have them do a kitty leukemia test on him, just as a general precaution. Lots of luck to you!

I would take her to the vets as this can be many different reasons for a runny nose from an allergy to upper respitory idsease which can kill if not treated.
mak and appointment for tomorrow before it gets worse.

I would call the vet and ask someone there for there opinion. They see many cats with many problems and it is likely they have seen this problem and will be able to tell you what it is and maybe what you could do to help.
