First, take an antihistamine and decongestant regularly. Your doctor can recommend one, or you can buy one over the counter. I use Claritin-D. Be sure with your doctor that you are ok to take these!

Then, get a neti pot. It's the best thing I've ever purchased, and helps me significantly with my congestion and swelling. It allows me to clear out my lower sinuses, and removes debris, pollen, etc.

There are tons on the market, but I just bought a cheap one at Eckerd. Works great. I've got several of my friends using one now and they also all swear by it!

Here's one that you can get online:

Hope this helps you - get well soon!

yes! They sell something called a (netty pot?) in the health food stores. You put a little salt water solution in it, bend your head over the sink, pour the water into your nostril continuously until the water flows out of the other one,in a free flowing stream. I used to use nasal spray twice a day, haven't used it but twice this week. Please try this The people at the health food store will tell you exactly how to do it! If you want, let me know your results!

Have is a folk remedy people who use it swear by:

Eat honey: But here is the trick to that. It has to be from a local bee hive not mass producted and sold nation wide honey Like Sue Bee Honey.

I recently started using a niti pot (I saw it on Oprah) It enables you to pour water through one nostral, the water travels through your sinuses and comes out the other nostral. It works really well and is a cheap fix!
