How much are the Bush hating liberals paying you to ask these questions? Everyone one of your questions are the same dribble.
It's like the lawyer asking the man
"Do you still beat your wife or have you stopped." Either way he's a loser.

First off, even though Bush is the commander in chief of the armed forces, the troops are not his pawns: the military's primary objective is to uphold the values of the Constituition of the United States. So, if the military feels that the President is doing something that he shouldn't be doing, they don't have to honor his requests. Because the soldiers' primary goal is to uphold our Constituition, when a soldier dies, they die primarily to uphold the rights of our land. In which case, they don't just die to defend America, they also die to uphold the ideals of our land that has made our country so great --- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These 114 soldiers who died in Iraq died for the military values that were their profession and their lifestyle, but they also died for what they believed in (whether it be religion, peace, etc). Remember, not everything that is going on in Iraq is bad---the media just feeds us the bad stuff because it sells; the media is nothing more than a company, and the objective of a company is to make money. If good news sold, they'd be telling us good news, not the bad (notice how you almost never hear of anything going right anywhere....but you always here what is going bad everywhere). So, basically, these soldiers sacrified their lives to uphold the ideals of America, and to protect and defend this country --- but they also died for their own personal convictions.

Really have to wonder about your question and your thoughts about America.
What would you consider a proper amount of lives lost to protect your freedom???
Might it be 3, 12, 47, 114 or 58,900...Your choice...pick one...or perhaps you would not even fight to protect your family or country!!!!!
About as SAD as it gets......
Where would you like the next set of "pawns in Bush's unwinnable war!", to show up????
Dude, I hope it's on your front porch...as I know you don't have the BA*Ls to do anything about it.......
"DEFENDING AMERICA?" You're a joke and have no idea of what it takes to defend AMERICA...other than listen to your COMMI LEFT WING detractors.
You can take this to the bank, you and your kind are killing AMERICA...ARE YOU PROUD??

They died to protect the Iraqi citizens from terrorists, and the American people from terrorists. They died to keep Iraq a democratic, free nation, no matter how much the hippies want to surrender to the terrorists.
Every loss is sad, but the Iraq War has produced a remarkably small number of deaths.
WWI:19,769,102
WWII:72,425,100
Civil War: 646,392
Korean War: 1,190,000
Iraq War: 654,965

Actually, most soldiers fight this war not for any particular party, rather they fight for the American Ideal. This ideal is what allows you to ask this question in the first place. This is why the troops deserve our support, absent from any political points.

They died protecting the soldier or Marine next to them. It's what professional warriors do.
