Do you believe in evolution. If so, why?
P.S. I believe in Creationism. I do because I am a believer in God and Jesus Christ.

Just because I believe in God doesn't mean I am a Republican.

And by the way, if evolution is real, than give me some proof. Don't just say you have proof.

The Bible teaches that God made the heavens and the earth. No where does it say that evolution is real.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against people who are Evolutionists. I just don't like it when they think they have the right to call us stupid just because we don't belive in it.

I think teaching evolution in school is as bad as teaching creationism in schools. I believe in god, but there are other people, with other beliefs. It should be a subject left out of elementary, middle, and high schools across the country (except for private schools.)

For you are the Body of Christ and individually Members of it.
(1 Corinthians 12:27)
That's Evolution in Action!
We are all descended from one woman, a fact DNA studies have confirmed. But where did all the different races come from? If skin color and facial features had changed suddenly, this bizarre event would certainly have been recorded somewhere! Since no one mentioned a sudden change, we can assume skin color and facial features changed so gradually nobody realized this was occurring. That is all evolution is the gradual changing of a species into a slightly different form.
Jesus compared the Kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed, which though the smallest of all seeds, grows up to become a tree so big that the birds of the Heavens can nest in its branches. The word evolution originally meant growth or unfolding as in the way a seedling emerges from its seed casing and grows to become an adult plant, so in a way Jesus Christ actually teaches that the Kingdom of Heaven evolves!
Matthew 13: to Matthew 13:9. A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-- a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He, who has ears, let him hear.
This parable definitely teaches that out of an abundance of life forms, only a few manage to adept to their environment enough to survive to reproduce.
Another example. Matthew 7.13. To 7:14. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.
Again Jesus Christ teaches that out of an abundance of life forms only a few succeed in life.
I guess it’s a point of view and up to you to choose.

No, I believe that there was no death before sin. If you believe evolution, then why do you need a savior? If sin did not bring death and suffing into the world, then what is the point in having Jesus die on the cross for us? The earth was created in 6 days. The only one who was there when the world was created was God. We were not even created yet. So the only one who knows what really happened was God. We can learn what really happened from reading what God did in the bible. Check out the site http://www.answersingenesis.org/ or Kent Hovind will pay anyone money who has any proof in evolution . http://www.drdino.com/

Science has developed the theory of evolution to explain the nature of things we see around us and the artifacts of things that no longer exist. It makes sense.
We don't believe "in" it, we believe it makes sense.
Where it doesn't make sense, we must ask more questions.
The bible says "God said it, and it was so". This is something you'd tell some child to make him quit bothering you with questions you have no answers to. It makes no sense.
This is something you can only "believe in", since it's just a flat statement without any supporting evidence.
Where it doesn't make sense, you may not ask questions.
Update: Yo neeedanew...
That's the silliest assed damned thing to say.
So okay, god was there but nothing else was.
So one day he was sitting around and figured he'd build himself a universe. WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?
So he creates the universe.
Then he created man and said "be good".
Then he snatches a rib out of adam and builds him a wife. WHAT FOR? Why wasn't adam alone good eneough?
Man was bad so he said "okay now you're going to die".
And from there the story goes on and on and on and on....
Talking snakes and castings out and cains and ables and marriages to nonexistant wives and begots and begats and salt pillars and....
Yeah. Evolution must be REAL tough for you to handle.

"i use to bc i was blind and stupid but now i believe in creation by the one true Goid. "
I believe in evolution and I take that as an offense. I don't call people who believe in creationism idiots but I don't agree either. I believe in evolution because there are many proofs for it and because I think people only believe in God because they wanted an explanation and had no clue what it was so they just started to think Hey it must be some perfect being that creates everything! Then after religions started, parents told their children that believing in their religion was right so they did believe in it. From there they forced their children to believe it and it keeps going. And in forcing I mean parents told them it is the right way, not giving them an option to choose something else. If anyone was not influenced at all by any religion they would probably agree that evolution is quite reasonable.
And for the people saying "YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION!"
The definition of believing is to accept as true; take to be true, so It would be perfectly fine to use believe when talking about evolution.

Huge arguments are started this way, because people want to believe in one, cut and dried theory. Evolution and creationism CAN coexist in the same theory. It's just that when staunch evolutionists hear 'God' applied, they stick their fingers in their ears...and when staunch creationists hear that science can explain things...they do the same.
I believe God gives life. I also believe He could give that life to species of living creatures which evolved from other living creatures. Who are we to say that He didn't PLAN for things to evolve and develop from His originals?
Why is it SO far fetched to believe certain types of species evolved and changed (over eons of course) into other species...but it's so easy to believe that God molded some guy out of dust, ripped out a rib and molded a woman...who both looked JUST like modern man...and the two of them populated the entire earth? Especially when we have proof that early man-like creatures DID exist, yet there are no modern man bones from that time period?
By the way...the bible doesn't mention male pattern baldness either, but it exists...and 'Evolutionists' don't WORSHIP evolution...therefore, it is not a religion.

The "scientific theory" of evolution [a "scientific theory" must contain FACTS, unlike the laymans use of the word theory], is corroborated every day by comparative morphology, molecular systematics, biogeography, the fossil record, and many other independant scientific disciplines.
This is tested and verified "every day". Only sheer denial and ignorance would allow a belief that all these independant scientific fields are all completely wrong...
Science says "nothing" about god. The assumtion that science challenges your religion is a religious concept only..

The ideas of Creationism and Evolution do not have to be contridictory. If your God is omnipotent that the means by which he creates are unlimited. The principle of Evolution is as fundamental to science as the principle of Gravity. If you are going to turn a blind eye to what is so obviously true, than truth itself is meaningless.
One must always seek a balance between their faith and in reality itself. If the two conflict and your faith is telling you that your eyes lying... well its a choice that only you can make, but I find there is vallue to questioning everything and letting your heart decide what is true. Truth always stands up to questioning, and if you fear to question a thing, than chances are you fear the truth, not the questions.

Man, there are a lot of dumb people answering this question.
1) How does evolution have ANY thing to do with the 2nd law of thermodynamics?
2) Dog breeding isn't an example of evolution?? SHOW ME WHERE THE WILD WIENER DOGS LIVE THEN!!!!!!OR WILD CHIHUAHUAS FOR THAT MATTER!
3) You don't believe in theories, you test them, and evolution has been tested so much that scientists don't bother any longer cause they know it's correct.

i do. i know it, just as you know creationism is real. however, as to evidence, skeletons, fossils, similiarities between the species. it makes sense. It is fine to believe in god, but i also believe you can believe in god whiel still believing in evolution. Why does it matter? we are all here and we should do good with our lives. We believe ourselves to be holy, do we not, why would it matter if we have/had monkey ancestors and relatives. I think it absurd that some believe one being created everything. i find it outdated and rather blind. But we all have our beliefs and are set in them, therefore there is no point in trying to convince another of what we absolutely know is correct. have a nice day.
