Just call it for what it is and pray for these atheists.

ATHEISM = INQUITY = SELF WILL = REBELLION

You may have been missing the point there, Junior.

We, the non-religious, feel it is our duty to call bullshit when we see it. When you get all these Christians answering with direct bible quotes and claiming the book is the literal word of God, it seems obvious to question the more dubious passages within it.

And when these SAME Christians, the ones that hail the bible as infallible, casually remark that "it's open to interpretation" or "the Old Testament doesn't apply any more", then that doesn't sound like the indisputable works of a one and only almighty supreme deity, and I call BS.

Is that so hard to understand? I hope you see the difference between, "I think THIS because of these logical or personal reasons that I can justify" and "I think THIS because a book told me to think this way!"

Well, bearing in mind that most "atheists" embrace modern maintream science, and therefore can verify their views with untold millions of hours of research and gathered data, and that the christians/creationists here can only counter with lies, ignorance, misquotes, misinformation and fabricated "facts, then there is a clear difference between the two, and all things aren't equal..

Such ignorance and denial need attention, lest it spread further and do even more damage...

jumping on christians for not following the bible is in a way using satire to show just how contradictory and sometime down right evil the bible can be.

jumping on christians for following the bible is because the morals of the bible do not stand up to the standards of todays society, some of the crap in the bible is just down right sick and christians can justify their bad morals by using the bible.

Thanks for the edit about not "all" atheists. :) And JesusFan has no clue what he's talking about. Perhaps it is ignorant comments like his that give some atheists the fuel to jump all over Christians for any reason.

PS... Ethan, excellent vid. I agree completely.

The thing is that Christian's like to claim their god is all love. I've read the Old Testament and that tyrant is anything but love.

It is hard not to be critical of that kind of hypocrisy.

I honestly don't care, except that the ones who try to push their religion on others without even examining it are also often the ones trying to pass laws requiring even non-believers to obey the Christian rules.

Lets see ..... look into the mirror first .... then repeat your statement in the opposite manner, substitute the word atheists with christians and Christian with atheist.

Then change don't believe in god to believe in god ......

What do you get?

Some points of Christianity are bad to follow. Example: sexism and homophobia, the shaming of the sexually liberated.

Some points of Christianity are good to follow: love thy neighbor.

I have never jumped on a Christian for anything. As far as I'm concerned, they can believe what they want as long as they don't bother me with it.

We're pointing out how illogical the bible is. God says thou shalt not murder, then god says to stone to death those that do anything on the sabbath.

Understand?

And yes, religion is extremely dangerous and should be taken very seriously.
