Why not try an alternative? Like redbull, or some other energy drink. But go with the sugar free kinds. That way, you dont get the let down once the sugar wears off. There is something here in MI called "5 Hour Energy". It comes in a small bottle. Look it up online at 5hourenegy.com. There is no sugar let down, has tons of vitamin b, niacin, and some caffeine. Works great for me. Coffee is ok, but there is some crash. If you go with a coffee drink, make sure it has sugar free syrup. You dont want the sugar crash there either. Good luck!
PS. Espresso does not have more caffeine than regular coffee. the water does not contact the coffee long enough to get that much caffeine. Go with regular coffee. McD's coffee and Dunk. Don. coffee SUCKS.

They do a wicked nice caramel frappucino. Ask for a double shot. It's really sweet and not too coffee-esque. If you don't like coffee try a red bull or go to a pharmacy and get some caffeine pills like No-doz. Good luck with the deadline.

Try hot tea or hot cocoa/hot chocolate. Or try a coffee with a flavor that you will like: vanilla, caramel, peppermint. The frappachinos are like icies almost: and something like the green tea frappachino will not taste like coffee. Coffee, tea, some sodas (coke, pepsi, mountain dew) and chocolate all contain caffeine, so you might be able to find some candy bars to keep you up, or brew some strong hot tea or cold soda and they'll prop your eyelids right up

starbucks coffee has a strong, burnt nasty taste!it has been voted low on a recent taste test byconsumer reports, dunkin donuts and mcdonalds new improved coffee blend were actually rated higher-both are more mellow and not as harsh as starbucks.starbucks ,if u have no other alternative-then order a large latte with 3 shots of espresso.the milk will mellow the coffee taste a bit.if theres a mickey d's or dunkins-go there instead-dunkins is truly delightful!starbucks is like bitter medicine!

You can get plain coffee for under $2, although I don't care for their house coffee (Pikes Place Roast); too dark-roasted and far too strong for me to drink without dilution. Their fancier coffee drinks are $3-$5 and good if you want something sweet - I used to be partial to the mochas, but the last time I had one it tasted too sweet (this is after I started drinking coffee black). The frappucino is tasty, if again sweet - almost like a coffee milkshake. I didn't like the caramel macchiato; that drink has very little coffee in it and to me it tasted like straight milk.

dude, you're going to a coffee house...i think if you want a coffee drink that will wake you up, it's gonna taste like coffee.
but if you need to wake up and can suck up the coffee taste, get an iced caramel machiatto with an extra shot of espresso. those things are awesome. or you could try the chai tea. i like chai green tea.

Any of the energy drinks will do the trick. Try to select one with caffeine below 100 mg per serving anything more is too much.

If you want good tasting coffee, skip Starbucks. McDonalds has the best coffee. They now have "specialty" coffees too, like mocha (least coffee like - its hot chocolate w/ coffee in it pretty buch) or latte (coffee diluted with steamed milk - if you use soy you get a little sweet without all the sugar.

Well, there's chai tea. It's not quite as caffienated, but it's sugary and good and completely coffee free.
