by rule in most states you should use your turnsignal when doing anything which will change your position on the road...including parallel parking. Even in parking lots you should use your turn signal when selecting a parking space. This allows the people around you to know you are about to do something different other than drive on.

If you're pulling off of a street to "angle park" at a curb, it is wise to signal your intent to turn. If you're in the mall parking lot and no one else is around, you can get away with pulling into the spot. I think its more important to signal when parking at the mall if the area you're parking in has more people looking for parking spaces.... it eliminates any issue as to where people are turning and who arrived at a parking spot first. Based on the assumption that a person waiting to pull into a space will use their signal to stake their claim.

Yes, and I highly advise doing so. It is to let drivers around you know your intent to park in a particular spot.

Just the other day, I had my left signal on to turn left into a parking spot, and this car came flying through the other side of the parking spot (driving across a solid line mind you) and beeped at me and gave me the finger! And then they speeding across to the next parking spot to the right of me. Some people are such idiots out there.

The pass in the pump caught open, which killed no longer in straight forward terms the guidance help however the brake help (it truly is a diesel truck). The pump had to get replaced. different than that I even have not heard of it doing any harm.

When you are stopped in the driving lane, it is the law that you signal your intent to move into the parking lane.
