hi i am 17 years old, and i need to lose weight. i already exercice a lot during the week. Probleme is that i live with my parents, and my mom is always buying junk food!
i eat healthy at school, and when i come home, i eat a fruit, but then 15 min. later, i realize im STILL hungry and decide to eat a nutella sandwich, or a peice of the chocolate cake my mom made the night before.
ive already asked her to stop buying the junk, but i have a little sister and brother who love those things for snack, while im trying to cut down.
Does anyone have ideas how to stay motivated? or a healthy snack thats better than chocolate??

It takes willpower and self control. It's tough to turn down or ignore those "goodies" when they are so convenient. Keep up with the fruit, drink a big glass of water when you feel snacky before eating...that'll help fill you up and you'll tend to eat less.

Concentrate on healthy or low call snacks like carrots, fruit, pickles, low fat yogurt, and other more "healthy" options than cake or cookies or "junk food".

Go for a walk instead of eating...try to keep away from the food other than meal time and a couple of structure snacks. If you eat a piece of fruit, let that hold you until meal time. Don't think you need to eat until you are 'full' in between meals.

Hang in there!

you need good healthy lunch that would fill you, so you won't be aching for a piece of cake.
As for healthy snacks, try babybell cheese, pretzels, baby carrots, bananas, prunes, dried apricots, Kellog cereal bars, a glass of milk, a toast.... if you really want some chocolate, just eat 2-3 squares.
Read something on the net/magazines/yahoo answers about weight loss to stay motivated.
Good luck!

Have you tried the 100 calorie packs? That's chocolate that tastes good and isn't horrible for your diet. You can also have chocolate pudding, fudgesicles, etc. for your cravings. Maybe it will help you avoid the junk food.
