Well, no need to worry, I am engaged myself and getting married on June 8th. The guy is the one that gets the ring, usually in most cases he has it at the time of proposing. You being the girlfriend do not need to get him a ring, traditionally the woman does not get anything, it is the guy that has to do the deed. All you need to do to make him happy is to be happy and proud and except his proposal to get married. Don't be embarrassed, I have heard this question before. Now if you are talking about wedding rings, then yes, you have to get him a ring and he gets you another ring for the wedding, you should already have an engagement ring traditionally. Hope this helps.
Wee Man.

Traditionally the woman buys the man's wedding ring. However, many couples prefer to buy the set of both the man's and the woman's wedding rings so they usually just split the cost of it and buy it together. Congratulations on your engagement.

yo better get over being embarassed to ask him things better get over being embarassed all together you are getting married ya know. Now if you are having a double ring ceremony you can either chose a set of rings where the groom's ring matches the brides or You can go and pick out a ring to give to him. Since the ring is supposed to be a gift that symbolizes the unending quality of your love it is appropriate for you to pick out his ring seperately. You should talk this over with him as many men do not wear a ring at all.

Just before my husband and i got married, i looked up different mens rings on the internet. And showed him them, so i got an idea of what he liked. I bought him his ring a few weeks before the wedding, i saw it as my gift to him as his ring to me was his gift to me. I think a lot of women do buy their men, their rings.

Well I am not really sure on who buys the grooms ring but my husband bought both of our rings. Don't be embarrassed just ask him because you don't want to be thinking that he's gonna buy the ring and then he doesn't.

for the engagement you don't have to get him a ring unless you want to. for the actual wedding bands you can get his wedding band and not let him know what it looks like or you both can go together and get a set.

Yes, it is your job to get him his ring. You're exchanging rings. You don't want him to buy the ring you're giving him or for you to buy the ring he's giving you. Traditionally the brides buys the groom his wedding ring.
