yes, you should have him open the presents at the party - the kids like to see the birthday child's excitement over each gift.
As for some moms staying: if they do not know you very well, then let them stay. I wouldn't leave my child in the care of someone I do not know well. If they are good friends and you still don't want them to hang out - ask them not to. They should be okay with that.

Definitely have him open the presents at the party! :) Part of the fun of picking out a gift for someone is watching them open it. It also teaches other kids at the party the joy and fun of giving, and everyone gets to share in the excitement. I know if I give someone a gift and they put it to the side saying, "I'll open it later", I always feel a little disappointed and hurt, like they didn't care all that much after I spent time picking it out.

What we have started to do is open the presents throughout the party. Like if we are at Chucky Cheese and I see my son with John (example) I will call them both over and let him open John's present. I just keep doing that until he has opened them all. That way he isn't rushed and the kids really only want to see their present opened then they spend the rest of the time fidgeting.
As for parents staying, my good friends usually stay. Then we trash talk the moms who left without knowing me (or the party throwers mom). Why would you think it is OK to leave your child somewhere you don't know the supervising adult?

no longer commencing provides seems to be like the hot trend. in my view maximum childrens at the instant are not fascinated in gazing different childrens open provides(except this is the only the gave). infants could lots particularly be taking part in, and having exciting, than sitting and gazing. i do no longer think of it somewhat is rude, as long as you deliver the thank you taking part in cards. I nanny for youthful infants, and could frequently grant an further set of hands at events for infants, and none of them open provides on the birthday. lots of the time the provides are opened later at living house.

With kids, it is expected that they will open their presents during the party. Only adults are expected to wait until later.

He should DEFINITELY open all of his gifts at the party! It's exciting for him to be able to show off all of his gifts, plus, his friends will probably like to see his reaction to the gifts they got him:)
