I found it from the Yahoo! main page when Hillary Clinton was asking a question about health care.
I'm a libertarian when I'm not attending secret atheist cabals and eating babies, so you can imagine how opposed I am to a statist like Clinton (or Giuliani, in the interest of equal time) proposing more stuff to fix stuff that didn't fix the stuff that may or may not have needed fixing, but certainly didn't require government taking it over.
I had come out to my mother as an atheist a week before I found this site (I didn't mean to, I thought she already knew, and just didn't really want to talk about it). So interfamilial religious issues were on my mind already.
And then the swirling vortex that is R&S sucked me in...

I got linked here from http://www.fstdt.com a few months ago. It's more of a hobby than an expertise - that's for the education and science sections.

I stumbled onto it then was hooked. Sometimes I get fed up with all the ridiculousness, especially the Christians who make Homer Simpson look like a genius...but like someone else said, the swirling vortex always draws me back in...I do like to be a voice for intelligent, liberal-progressive Christians though...it's lonely job...

I stumbled upon it while searching through the Yahoo Answers Main Question Home Page. I came across a user named, "Elmo the Stoner" who was a hilarious blasphemer. He made me laugh and I haven't left since. I wonder what ever happened to him anyway...

My cousin set up a Yahoo group related to dogs and there were links to the "Pets" category in Yahoo Answers. I poked around in other sections for awhile and fell into this one. I'm addicted now.

I stumbled on to it.... I started in August (I think) and just answered random q's...then I noticed the categories were separated, and THEN.... believe it or not, I noticed YOUR avatar and found that most q's you asked were in R&S
I was intrigued....
the rest is history
blessings :)
