My anus keeps itching especially at night and I went to the toilet a few hours ago and saw little whispy threads all through my toilet.

It does sound like you might have thread worms (known as pinworms in the U.S.). They really do look like little pieces of thread and they cause intense itching at night. There really isn't anything you can do until you see the chemist and purchase some piperazine. Make sure everyone who lives with you also gets treated!
