There really isnt a catholic bible...many catholics use the bible as a guideline. They stick to the main idea where you have to worship God, except they cut out all the parts about Jesus and focus on the virgin Mary and her mercy and compassion.

The Catholic Bible has seven more books than the Protestant Bible. Any faith that believes that Jesus is the Son of God is considered a Christian religion, that includes Protestants and Catholics. The Catholic Church was introduced during the life of Jesus and they created the Bible. The Protestants questioned the legitimacy of some of the books of the Bible so they left those books out of their Bible. There are also about 31 more books that were left out of the Catholic Bible because the Catholic Church questioned the legitimacy of those books, they're are often called the lost books of the Bible. So technically there are two Christian Bibles, the Catholic version and the Protestant version. But there are several versions of the Protestant Bible, they say the same thing but the wording is different so it can be easier to understand. I hope this helps

No. Both Bibles are Christian.

The Catholic Bible is different from the Protestant Bible.

The New Testament canon of the Catholic Bible and the Protestant Bible are the same with 27 Books.

The difference in the Old Testaments actually goes back to the time before and during Christ’s life. At this time, there was no official Jewish canon of scripture.

The Jews in Egypt translated their choices of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek in the second century before Christ. This translation of 46 books, called the Septuagint, had wide use in the Roman world because most Jews lived far from Palestine in Greek cities. Many of these Jews spoke only Greek.

The early Christian Church was born into this world. The Church, with its bilingual Jews and more and more Greek-speaking Gentiles, used the books of the Septuagint as its Bible. Remember the early Christians were just writing the documents what would become the New Testament.

After the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, with increasing persecution from the Romans and competition from the fledgling Christian Church, the Jewish leaders came together and declared its official canon of Scripture, eliminating seven books from the Septuagint.

The books removed were Tobit, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Wisdom (of Solomon), Sirach, and Baruch. Parts of existing books were also removed including Psalm 151 (from Psalms), parts of the Book of Esther, Susanna (from Daniel as chapter 13), and Bel and the Dragon (from Daniel as chapter 14).

The Christian Church did not follow suit but kept all the books in the Septuagint. 46 + 27 = 73 Books total.

1500 years later, Protestants decided to keep the Catholic New Testament but change its Old Testament from the Catholic canon to the Jewish canon. The books they dropped are sometimes called the Apocrypha.

With love in Christ.

The Catholic Bible IS a Christian Bible. It is different from the Protestant Bible tho, by having about 14 books more, I think it is. Also, the wording is a bit differnt, but that is true of many different Bibles, Protestant and Catholic.

Well, the Catholic Bible is a Christian Bible, but it is different from the Protestant Bible in that it still contains the 7 books that Martin Luther removed in 1529.

LOL Catholics are Christians too.
The primary difference between the Catholic Bible and the Protestant Bible is to be found in the Old Testament. There are seven books found in the Catholic Old Testament that are not part of the Protestant Old Testament. They are: TOBIT, JUDITH, 1ST BOOK OF MACCABEES, 2ND BOOK OF MACCABEES, THE BOOK OF WISDOM, ECCLESIASTICUS, THE BOOK OF BARUCH and additional parts of THE BOOK OF DANIEL, and additional parts of the BOOK OF ESTHER.

There are also differences in the New Testament. The difference is not in the number of books or chapters, but in the way certain words were translated into English from the original language that they were written in. Does it matter? Yes! Consider the following verse from the New Testament:
