Your cat will probably be freaked out by so many other cats. Cats do not take to new cats easily, it can take several weeks to adjust. If you are going to leave it at your brothers, then hopefully he can keep it inside and away from the others. Many cats may run away if left outside in a new area that they are unfamiliar with. I wouldn't take a chance.

t takes a while for a cat to feel at home at a new place, especially without you there. When i went to Italy I left my cat at home (she is an outdoor cat) and someone would come and feed her every day. i had a feeder with dry food which someone would top up everyday so she always had food just in case someone forgot to go that day. They used to give her wet food and fresh water every day. I was away for 5 weeks and she was still here when I got back. Other people had suggested a pet boarding place but i was worried the cat would get depressed, not eat and die.
if your only option is to leave the cat at your brother's house I would stay there a few days to get the cat used to it's new home with you there.

To get a cat to stay in a new place you should have your brother keep her in a room of the house for 3 days so they move their sense of home to the new location. Since your brother has so many animals already this is especially important.

Since all the cats are outside, I would be afraid that if you leave your cat, it might run away not because it doesn't like your brothers' house, but because it might be looking for you. It might think you abandoned it., esp since you're going to be gone for so long. Is there someone you could leave it with that it wouldn't be outside? That might be the best solution if you know of anyone.

with all those your cat will feel like a out cast and not good to leave animals unattended plus being out doors run aways are common in this area many along the road ways dead over it. You should find someone that keeps pets indoors.

It is possible. I went to Australia on my honeymoon so I left my cat with my parents. He got away once but they caught him. When I came home, he didn't recognize me at first. In the middle of the night he jumped on my chest and licked me. "Mom, where have you been?"

It is possible. He may come looking for you. If he disappears, he will probably go to your house.
