Are not other religions just against Judaism and Christianity, so they had to come up with something to believe in just so they could call it their own ???

"Uh, no. Tons of religions existed loooooong before Christianity or Judaism.

How arrogant."

Nay. Was closer to ignorance and FAR from arrogance.

I was curious for not knowing all of the answer and to see what various religions were represented here.

"No, that's such a lamo argument."

It was not presented as an argumint but a statemint to see how many types of religion are represented and because I do not know all of the answers.

More insults please !

"Religious beleif has been around since men first existed. Humans use religion as a way of describing/understanding things they have no way of knowing. Cavemen had religion, Natives had religion, Ancient Egypt had religion... all before the dawn of christianity or judaism."

Obviously. Not the answer that I am after.

"No, there are religions that pre-date Judaism and therefore Christianity, like Zoroastrianism. It doesn't mean the G-d of Christianity and Judaism didn't exist, because some time had to pass and people had to be able to write before the Torah was written. Time passed, inspiration came, and then the beginning to the last was written down."

OK I bees wrong . I give up !!! Good answer.
(You must be Jewish because you type GOD like this >>> G-d )

"Some newer ones might be for that purpose, but generally I doubt anybody would believe in them if the point was simply to contradict another religion.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Scientology.

Why is it that when you ask questions, you always look for one specific answer? That only serves to reinforce your own beliefs and use this forum for your own ends. And what's your obsession with God's Kitty? Are you her boyfriend IRL or something?"

Is it ill logical or ill eagle to seek but one answer ???

If and since I am totally convinced that JESUS CHRIST is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE and the ONLY WAY OF SALVATION then I only seek to have these facts stand out.

GOD's Kitty is a Christian friend.

At the age of seventeen she faces many pressures and challenges to compromise her faith. JESUS BLESS HER and keep her safe.

Religion is anything you use to get your own approval and salvation through your own works.

JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY to THE FATHER.

JESUS IS GOD

Of course, my brother. The truth is that we need to be mindful of our terminology. There is the truth, which is Jesus is Lord, and the path that God gave us in the Old Testament to lead to the truth of the Word and Redemption, which was in-trusted to the chosen people, the Jews. When Abraham had Ishmael rather than wait on God's promised child of faith, that was the beginning of Islam, wrong, but connected to Abraham. Then we have the heathens, who are pretty much up for grabs because since they stand for nothing, they will fall for anything. Now the pagans, those are the ones with imagination and the ones to which I believe you refer. They would rather climb a tall tree to hear a lie or myth than stand on the ground to hear the truth.

No there are other far older religions than Christianity. Judaism is of course very old but some of the Hindu and other religions in the area of India are equally old. Religions that were dismissed as pagan or heathan by the Catholic
Church have died out mostly now but are far older than Christianity-religions such as witchcraft and wicca are modern versions of the old religions we drove off the earth in the name of religion!
The American Indians and the American Eskimos have religions far older also and I am sure in other parts of the world there are pockets of old religions still being practiced.

No, some are quite a bit older: Hinduism, Taoism
Others roots are older:Buddhism
And Islam is in the JudeoChristian family. They have the same prophets, only difference is that they believe Christ was a prophet not a Messiah, and that Muhameed is a prophet. Same God though.

You're joking right? The Native Americans had a religion long before they ever heard of a christian. Hinduism is far older than judaism

Actually, no. Taoism, for example, predates even Judaism, and flourished in a totally different part of the world, and makes no references to either of those religions. It exists wholly on its own.

I believe the same can be said for Hinduism in age and Buddhism is pre-Christian if not pre-Judaism.

Why does Yahoo delete anti jewish questions however no longer anti christian ones?>> You should not be asking anti-Jewish and/or anti-Christian inquiries to start with. Why are the anti-Jewish questions deleted? The reply is seen, persons are reporting the ones questions, and YA! employees are discovering the ones reviews legitimate, thus the query being deleted. <> Of direction it used to be deleted! What is that this "international white wash" of Christmas you talk of? Also, what Jewish-run media do you talk of? <<... why no longer delete all of the anti catholic or christian questions?>> That's plenty of questions! Think of the logistics concerned!
