"You arent a Christian"
"you Worship Joseph Smith"
"You worship satan"
"you arent allowed to read the Bible"
"You have a false Idol"
"You think works get you into heaven"
and sooo many more, which by the way.. arent true! well i feel better now that i got that out of my system!

When the Pastor saw her he immediately starting saying what Mormons Believe (most of which was wrong) and afterwards they went up to him jusy to ske his hand and he looked them in the eye and said "you KNOW you are going to Hell right?" so theres one example!

It is no surprise that many people tell you what you believe (whether or not Mormonism is always represented correctly). This is because there are many obvious differences between Christianity and Mormonism:

Christians believe: The Bible is the inspired inerrant word of God (2 Tim. 3:16). It is authoritative in all subjects it addresses.
Mormons believe: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. . ." 8th Article of Faith of the Mormon Church.

Christians believe: The Trinity is the doctrine that there is only one God in all the universe and that He exists in three, eternal, simultaneous person: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Mormons believe: The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35.)

Christians believe: God has always been God (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 57:15)
Mormons believe: "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345

Christians believe: God is a spirit without flesh and bones (John 4:24; Luke 24:39)
Mormons believe: "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's" (Doctrine and Covenants 130:22.

Christians believe: Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matt. 1:23)
Mormons believe: "The birth of the Saviour was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood - was begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 8: p. 115)

Christians believe: Jesus is the eternal Son. He is second person of the Trinity. He has two natures. He is God in flesh and man (John 1:1, 14; Col. 2;9) and the creator of all things (Col. 1:15-17)
Mormons believe: Jesus is the literal spirit-brother of Lucifer, a creation. (Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15)

Because humans have the unfortunate habit of insulting people who disagree with them. Also because people tend to have a narrow view of things that often doesn't extend beyond their own experiences. I would guess that many atheists who insist that religion is about believing what you're told have largely experienced religion in only that way. Certainly there are sheeple who just believe what they're told, blindly and without thought, but its a real disservice to assume all religious people, or even all people within a certain religion, behave that way. It's stereotyping.

Yeah, I know quite about mormonism. I have a few more to add to your list, but here's a question.

Can someone get into heaven today without Joseph Smith giving the "go-ahead?"
If you answer yes, then you are in a devilish cult. If you answer no, then you know nothing about what mormonism teaches. Joseph Smith is the doorway to hell.

****the proof is in your own doctrine. Why don't you wake up to reality and stop living a lie.
BTW I've studied the mormon cult for years and I'm hardly unqualified to talk on the subject. What I say is truth, if you can't handle the truth that is your problem. You walk in darkness and yet complain when someone once again reveals God's truth to you. You have no one to blame for your denial and ignorance.

I'm a mormon too, and I'm pretty sick of all the people saying we're a cult. We are not a cult by any means of the definition. Anyone is more than welcome to go into the temple if A.) they worthy to, and B.) ANYONE can go inside every room of the temple before it's dedicated to God the father. The sacramento temple was dedicated this past summer and many people went into it, and all said it was very beautiful and gorgeus. Go to a temple before it's dedicated and you will not see any torture chambers, black cloaks, and other cult material. It's the house of the lord, not of satan, which is why only those who live worthy to enter are able to. If you were to let anyone into the temple it is as if bringing down the street to any public place. We, the Latter day Saints, go to the temple to feel of his love. This is a place where we go and is like no other place on Earth. To those who can't accept our beliefs, you are not open minded enough to understand other religions. If you are not able to make the changes in your life to become worthy to enter the temple, then it is you who is under control of something. I don't tell people how to live their lives, but I am not one who will allow it to happen to me or my friends. One of my friends was being made fun of for being a Jehova's witness, so I stood up for him against people of other religions, one of which was a mormon. I think people make fun of other religions because they have doubts on their own. If they can tear other people down to their level, they can be scared together. If you don't know what to believe, then find something, whether you read the bible, book of mormon, Koran, Torah, or just through prayer, or meditation, accept others, and let life go on. Don't get caught up tearing others down. Instead, share your beliefs with others and don't be afraid of what others think of you, but don'e be one that wants others to question their deeepest beliefs.

my own dad told me I was going to hell and hes a mormon, are you saved by the blood, admitted your a sinner and said the sinners prayer, NO, but anyone can say they are a christian and be a gangsta every other day of the week, so no big deal on the christian thing, like it or not, Josepsh Smith is the center piece, I know, I use to be Mormon. You don't worship the devil, you attract devil worshippers tho, there were plenty of them in UT and we tried to get rid of them all the time, it was weird why they were always there, You are only allowed to read you Joseph Smith version KJV translated Bible, so, no, you can't read my christian KJV bible, you worship youselfs, why my dad already thought he was a demi-God, You think you must do a million thins to get into heaven, in other christian theologies, that tranlates into WORKS, you would know that if you studied other theologies besides your own, since others try to study yours and claim they know what your religion is.

I totally know what that's like... although I didn't know what other christians thought of mormons until I had totally immersed myself into Christianity. You see, I was raised in the mormon church and when I went looking for more of Jesus in my regular life, I found praise and worship music. (I was in heaven)! Well, I didn't know that it was a big no-no in my ward to listen to that... (also, before i knew any christians, I raised my hands in worship when I was alone. Later i found out other people did that too)! So, it got me to thinking what group of people out there would understand my desire for this level of closeness with Jesus? And there, began my spiritual journey. One day, I decided to look around at where i was spiritually, and it was almost a suprize that I was an evangelical christian and not a "mormon" anymore. I found myself wishing I could be both, but I couldn't... all my mormon friends had scattered and I didn't really have any Christian friends to replace them because at school I was reaching out to... the "least of these" and many thought i had fallen into a "bad" crowd, when I had not. I was very moral... anyway, It was really sad, but I think my mormon friends may have avoided me because they didn't want to be "sucked into" Christianity like I was and the christians didn't want me to taint their reputation either... so... it's been a really lonely and difficult road for me. Still, wherever I am I have learned that what matters is that my life is right with G-d and that I have a close relationship with HIM. I'm not telling you to be or not be anything... but this is my story, for all that it is worth, and I hope I helped you.

You might want to find out why non-members conclude what they tell you. If you ever decide to actually read your own doctrine, and apply the General Authorities Not Approved Device of critical thinking, the whole of mormonism sinks like the Jaredite boats should have.

Whether or not you need to believe in anything is your own choice, but to believe in something so wrong and totally at odds with nature and reality makes you appear rather silly.

Nice, but silly.

You forgot
"You people added on to the Bible."
"You worship Brigham Young."
"Your husband is going to have more wives than you."
"Your temple is a mystical place where Satanic rites are practised."
"You consummate your marriage in the temple in front of witnesses."
"Your temple weddings are not allowed to have witnesses or spectators."
"You hate Black people."

Yeah. It's pretty annoying, isn't it? Actually, if these people weren't so truly ignorant, these ludicrous claims would be laughable. Meanwhile, just keep being a good example, walk the high road.

Well, the Quad as it is called has the book of Mormon in it as well as the Bible, so that's not true. What exactly do you believe? Do you know?
