You cannot control the actions of other people Learn this lesson now and then you do what you can to recycle and help the environment. Perhaps if they see you seperating the cans and binding up newspapers it will encourage them to do the same. Get a recycle bin for the kitchen so itis easy to seperate the items We have 3 in our kitchen one for regular garbage, one for recycled paper and one for cans and bottles. You can do more than you think so do not despair, just do what you can.

My family used to be a lot like that, so Iknow wat you are going through. What I did to help my situation was to go full out. I became pescaterian, put up posters in my room, left fliers lieing around the house, escpecially my parent's desks, about solar power, and I even refused to go to school unless they put they recycled the cereal box that was emptied that very morning! It may seem like a big step, but the only way to make a difference is to something big. And if you are passionate about something, your parents should are about that and respect your wishes.
