Any Fusion owners with 10,000 plus miles on them with inside smarts about the long term problems? Transmission, engine, brakes, all the ususal Ford problems. And please, no Ford haters, I know all the little acronyms.

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I own a 2007 Ford Fusion with about 1,500 miles on it. So far I am very impressed with the quality of this car. I have found zero defects of any kind, even the tiniest. The fit and finish is excellent!.

It's a very fun car to drive, and quite stylish. My Merlot Red Fusion has drawn several admiring looks from people. So far, I'm very pleased with it.

I work on them and very rarely see them... last one I saw was the guy actually lost all of his keys and got to find out about the $100/ per key to replace (key fob is built in key)

But no, no problems yet... v-6 is based on 3.0 4 valve line if I remember and it's proving to be a bullietproof engine. No word on transmission or other issues yet either.

Fusion and the 500 are pretty trouble free compared to say 10 years ago and the taurus models.

the only problem ive seen is people abusing thier fusion, alot of small random concerns but no serous issues that ive noticed, most of the time its been minor alignment issues, or radio concerns, had 1 milan w/5-speed customer doesnt know how to drive a stick and ruined their gearsets twice in 20k miles

No long term concerns known. I've had a couple of Fusions, one with 12,000 miles now. I've seen others with 40k and nothing either.

Acronyms....tell me about it. But everyone knows their car is perfect and far better than anyone else's in every way right? Just shows the immaturity. We know what our cars can do and we'll drive em till we die.
