Look at those grisly crimes - like those two little girls sexually mutilated and starved to death in a pervert's dungeon a few years ago. Also, isnt there a lot of heroin and prostituion? What about India,China?

Apparently they alleviate crime by lowering the standard, after all, if drug use and prostitution aren't illegal, then no crime has been committed. I wonder what God thinks about Holland and Belgium's "enlightened" state?

We have the whole spectrum of religious colors. With the Netherlands more protestants in all varieties and Belgium mostly Catholic. We also have all the common crimes. If you pictured the Lowlands as happy pagans running around windmills on wooden shoes, sorry, not true.
And the link between Christianity and crime just as non-existent.

Crime is not usually related to religion whatsoever. There's a million reasons a person might choose to commit a crime -- whether its a mental imbalance, desperation, social influences, being temporarily guided by only your emotions ... the list could go on and on. Although there are some crimes that have their basis in religious motivation, those are certainly few and far between.

Who said crime is caused by Christians? I've never heard of that. Crime is usually caused by males, or so the statistics say, and I'll bet they have males in Holland, right?

i suppose there must be crime in holland...all i can say is that i have lived in amsterdam for 4 years and i have walked down the streets at 4 in the morning with approx. 2000 $ in my pocket and nothing has happened to me, i have never been attacked in the street nor have i ever heard of anyone who had been attacked. In the news the violent crimes are scarce.

Now you're reaching...

Who exactly told you that Christianity causes crime? Or are you just willfully misunderstanding? What I say is, the basic tenets of Christianity inherently lead people to commit crimes in the name of God.

This is one of the strangest questions I have ever seen.

Christians do not "cause" crime. Criminals commit crimes. In Christianity, the other name for a crime is SIN, and it is forbidden.

Committed Christians generally DON'T commit crimes, especially ghastly ones like you have mentioned. Someone POSING as a Christian might do such a thing, but at that point, it is just a disguise the criminal wears, in order to gain his victim's trust.

Christians don't cause crime. The best ones fight it tooth and nail!

Obviously, there is no more crime in urban areas where church attendance is low and atheism high, than in small communities where church attendance is high and atheism rare. And yes,the atheist nations do have a high crime rate.

Drugs isn't legal in Belgium. In Holland soft-drugs and prostitution are legal.

I could try to explain to you how legalizing soft-drugs actually lowers drug-abuse, crime and how it makes it easier to help addicted people.

I could also try to explain to you how legal prostitutes have a much lower risk of getting an STD for example.

But, somehow I feel it'll be useless. You just want answers that agree with you.

So, here comes: atheists are horrible people. We all eat babies.

I'm not quite sure I understand where you're getting your "crime is caused by Christians" remark. Did you hear this somewhere?
