im trying to download word since my kid deleted it so now it wont download for some reason and i need to type something soon. is there something other than word i can use?

Try the free AbiWord word processor. It is basically a Microsoft Word clone. It looks and feels so much like Word you forget it's not. The download link is (http://www.filehippo.com/download_abiword/)
Someone mentioned OpenOffice and it is good alternative but it is a Microsoft Office clone. In addition to a word processor, it also includes a database, spreadsheet and presentation tool. If you just want a word processor, stick with AbiWord because OpenOffice is a hugh file to download.

There is one other way .
Follow the steps
1.Go to Start menu
2.All Programs
3.Accessories
4.Notepad
this is a great help to type when you don't have word .Let me know if you found it.

or you can use wordpad
both are free
