When you finalize a mini DVD from a camera, does it prevent you from being able to move it to your computer?

I'm doing a video for someone and when I put the disk in my computer it says that it's empty. When the disk is in the video camera I am able to see the video. The girl said she finalized the disk, and I didn't know if that affects being able to pull it onto the computer...

When you finalize the disk, it makes it readable - but you can no longer add anything to it at that time.

You can still see it in your camera because you are viewing what is stored in memory (waiting to be burned to the disk). Finalizing it will allow you to view it on your pc, dvd player, etc.

Depending on the type of camera you have, you may be able to transfer the data directly to your pc through a cable - but this is another topic altogether...

Thats the only way to view it on the PC. Also, make sure the camera is plugged in for power. Once the disk is finalized, the PC will see it.
