If you are already getting BAS, it will stay the same.
If you were getting the partial BAS, it will go to full BAS.
BAS for enlisted ranks is $279.88 a month
BAS for Officers is $192.74 a month
Family size has no bearing on BAS

Right on, BAS is for you and you only, not the family. It will not change, though your BAH will change to with dependents, correct, when deployed you will give up your BAS because you will eat at the chow hall, though if you are gone for greater than 30 days you will now start getting FSA (Family Separation Allowance). Your BAH will remain the same. Below is attached the link to the DFAS page where you can get the current and past pay rates. By the way, officers do get BAS but much less than enlisted.

My husband is in the army and when we got married his did not go up. The same rules apply for the Air Force since they use the same pay scale. Check out the second page of this link (PDF file):
http://www.dfas.mil/militarypay/newinformation/WebPayTableVersion2006updated.pdf
Here they list the BAS and BAH. BAH changes if you have dependents and according to your rank, but BAS just depends on if you are an officer or enlisted ($187.49 for officers, $272.26 for enlisted). This PDF was the pay scale for 2006 but you get the idea.

Until 2002, BAS was paid only when individuals were officially allowed (for various reasons) to eat their meals outside of the military dining facilities (chow halls). Those required to eat meals in the dining facilities (usually, single enlisted, living on-base) received a "partial allowance" of about $25.80 per month. Beginning in Fiscal Year 2002, all enlisted and officers receive full-rate BAS, after initial entry training (boot camp and follow-on schooling). However, for those required to consume meals in the dining facilities, most of the BAS will be automatically deducted from their paychecks, resulting in those members still only receiving about $26.00 each month. There are plans (for the future) to only deduct the cost of meals actually consumed in the dining facilities, but that is likely several years in the future (for the present time, DOD depends on the fact that members required to consume meals in the dining facilities only eat an average of 70 percent of their meals there, and purchase 30 percent of the meals elsewhere. The services rely upon the difference to help balance their food budgets).
Enlisted members with less than 4 months of service used to be paid BAS at a lower rate. That difference was eliminated in 2002.
BAS used to be calculated on a daily basis. That means that a person who received BAS got just a little bit more during months that had 31 days in them, and a little bit less during the month of February (which has less than 30 days). In 2002, Congress changed the law so that BAS is a set monthly rate.
Enlisted members, with or without dependents, used to lose BAS if they were deployed (or "in the field"). In 1998, Congress changed this. Now, enlisted members temporarily assigned to duty away from their permanent duty station or to duty under field conditions at their permanent duty station are entitled to BAS at a rate not less than that which they had at their permanent duty station.

As others have said your BAS will stay the same. Depending on your rank you will get BAH.

Married and single military personnel are paid differently. The single personnel get a single pay, the married personnel get an increase in pay to help support the wife. It does not matter what your rank is and whether or not you are enlisted or officer, you get an increase in your BAS for the extra person you now have. Even if the other person works too.
Of course, officers and enlisted men get different amounts of pay but get it all the same. If you are deployed you will also get combat pay on top of your now increased BAS for getting married.
On a more personal note: Thank you for what you do for us Americans and America everyday. You are very much appreciated and we are proud to call you ours!

don't listen to phxmom. She is wrong.
I am sure you know - your base pay does not go up when you get married - or when you have children.
You will get BAH with dependents. If you were living off post already - it's more than BAH without dependents.

NO. BAS is a set rate.. one for O and one for E. it is to feed YOU ALONE, it is NOT there to feed your family. do not ever include it as part of your budget, as the times it can be taken away will vary from mission to mission and command to command.
