This one is tough, i mean on one side you feel like they can get a job and work and not be homeless, their just lazy. But on the other hand you have to feel that perhaps theres a "real' reason why they cant get a job, perhaps a mental condition or something else... So to me, its kind of split in between in terms of what can be done for homeless people.

My opnion is they are people just like you and I. They deserve love and respect the same as you and I. In the end we are not better than anyone , including the homeless people. They are still someones child, including God's child. We need more people to take the Good news of our saving Jesus to them. I help when I can!

I used to counsel homeless people. Some choose to be that way, others want a chance. I took in one that wanted a chance and he ended up having a wife, two cars, and a home.

I think it's appalling that people have no place to live. That should be an automatic right.
The government is too busy spending billions on a self created war to help out though.

I think they are people who have fallen on bad times.
They are made up of people with mental illness, alcoholics, drug addicts, people who have lost their jobs, who become discouraged and need help to find their way back. I believe many are our veterans who can't shake the mental images of wars that were fought, people whose families threw them out of the house. And yes, there are some who do not want to work and take advantage of handouts.
They are friends, fathers, mothers, children, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and cousins.
I try to help organizations that look out for them.

I think its sad, and says something incredibly negative about our society, that in the year 2007 in the 21st century, we still have homeless people, vagabonds, bums, etc...
I think everyone, the mentally ill, the lazy, people that are running away...should have somewhere to sleep... And personally, I think that is the government's responsibility...

I feel that my opinion doesn't matter.. Its all about the circumstances that put these people out on the streets.. And how to fix the problem..
I do have feelings for these people that society has turned its back on for issues they don't know how to deal with..
I have given to homeless people who are struggling and I have given to people who chose to live their lives out on the street. as Opposed to what "society " feels is right..

I think we need to to not so into ourselves and help them out more. We must provide more resources such as shelters, jobs, and medical help for them. I think more could be done to get homeless people out of the streets and release them into normal human society.

I have sympathy for homeless people. I believe in treating everyone with respect. Personally, I never bother someone who is homeless.

I feel bad for them. Do they not qualify for welfare and welfare housing and stuff? Looks like they would try to get into some of those types programs. But they probably feel too beaten to even try that
