Um... no. The saying still gets it's idea across, and it hold the connotation that it is a classic. Besides, we all know it's a matter of time before key boards are replaces by telepathy plates, and guns with death rays, so why bother?

I think it should be up dated.

Maybe to "the Keyboard is mightier than the AK47"

The Internet has now may it possible for people all over the world to communicate, share information and knowledge, like never before. Even countries that have tried to restrict the Internet are loosing the battle.

We are no longer restricted to the views of our own native countries and cultures but can gain a broader worldwide perspectives if we are willing
