"Pit bulls" are prone to skin problems. My husband and I have two American Pit Bull Terriers. Brooklyn, our 1 year old male and Destiny, our 4 month old female. When Brooklyn was younger he had the same problem. He had these bumps on his head that kind of looked and felt like scabs. We took him to the vet and they said he had some kind of skin infection. It wasnt a big deal, they just gave him Cephalexin 500mg. He had to take one table twice a day for 21 days on a full stomach. The bumps just slowly went away (they ended up kind of falling off like scabs do. They left little bald spots when they came off but, all of his fur grew back within a short time and now you could never tell they were there) and he hasnt had a problem sinse then... I would suggest that you take your pup to the vet. It is most likely a skin infection and they will just give you some meds to give to your pup. Good luck! : )

*Like other people said, it could be fleas but, I really dont think so. Flea bites would most likely be all over its body. My dog had the exact same problem as your dog and it was a skin infection. I am not a vet so, I cant tell you for sure what it is but, from my experiance I would say that your pup has a skin infection.

I had a similar problem with my Husky. It was caused by her lead (muzzle-like harness for walking her), which gave her "hot spots" (your vet can give you a cream to treat those) and fly bites (I think there is an ointment for those, too).
