You probably shouldn't even be tithing from your own paycheck, but paying your husband's money to support a cause in which he does not believe is called STEALING. I think the Bible says something about that, even.


Seriously, tithing was a practice invented by ancient priests who wanted to remain in power without having to get real jobs. Tithing wasn't "giving to God." It was "giving to the guy who wears the fancy clothes and orders you around." Kinda like today, actually.

And then, when the country fell on hard times, the priests claimed it was because people weren't giving them enough free baby goats and such. They simply used tragedy as an excuse to milk people for more money/livestock. That's all tithing is.

I don't.

My husband and I keep our money seperate. He is not a Christian and does not attend Church. I tithe from my paycheck only.

Don't do it unless he agrees. It's not your money (exactly) and he has no responsibility to your church. If you were my wife and did that on the sneak, I'd be absolutely furious.
