Go see your doctor or a dermatologist & ask about topical antibiotics & a retin-A cream. (Differin, Renova, etc.)

At this point, don't waste time experimenting w/ OTC treatments. Your health insurance should cover the visit & prescriptions.

Be sure to wear SPF daily as retin-A makes your skin more prone to sunburn but it works!

Proactiv is the most "commercialised" and popular brand, but your dermatologist can prescribe a Vitamin A formula by the name of tretinoin that will not only deal with your adult acne, but also help fade the scars (which can be worst than the acne).

On the Proactiv system, you must receive a new kit every month (for about $39, I believe). Your tube of tretinoin will cost you about $25 without insurance coverage and about $10 with coverage. I doubt very much you'll go through a tube of 25g every month, unless you have a lot of acne on your body.

My dermatologist told me of this little secret when I ran to his office begging on my knees to know more about Proactiv because I was simly horrified by my adult acne.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Definitely the Clear Advantage line from Arbonne. Their products are natural and hypoallergenic. I started using it when I was pregnant and broke out like a 12 year old! I love their products so much I have been a consultant and a consumer ever since. If you want more info- e-mail me. You have nothing to lose by trying it! They do offer a return policy should you be unhappy with the results.

Proactiv. It is made for all ages and has been successful for nearly everyone. i'm 99% that you can try it for $20, and if it doesn't work you send it back and can get a full refund. But, it works for me and a lot of people. Try www.proactiv.com (p.s. it is not spelled with a "e" on the end.. I just check the bottle.) GOOD LUCK!!!
