I have been passed up 3 times now for added responsibilities. I have a perfect record at work. I think it's a personality conflict with my boss but I dont know. She's very nice to me. Sometimes I feel like shes being fake about it. i have been with the company for almost a year now. Should I look for something new?

Are you qualified for the promotion? Did the people that were promoted have more experience, seniority, or experience? Be patient. A year really isn't that long to have proven yourself to your company.

Take a look at who you were passed up for. Perhaps that person had more qualifications or experience. Or you may not have as perfect a record as you think. By the way, a year is not much time. I have worked for companies that considered your first 6 months to be probationary. And about your boss...if you have no real reason accusing your boss of favoritism (it doesn't sound like you do) then stop being so paranoid.

Ask her what she would recommend you do to position yourself for advancement.
