I have replied to those stupid violations and never got a real answer. Who the hell is in charge of that process anyway?

If you see a racist question, don't give a smart alec response, report it.
That way, Yahoo removes it and docks the user; chronic abusers are banned.
Giving a non answer is itself a violation.
If you'd reported the offending post, you wouldn't have gotten a violation, and the post might have been removed.
In your case, there is no point in contesting the removal, since it was clearly a violation (read the Guidelines by clicking the link to them at the bottom of most pages).
Yes, I have successfully appealed a notice, not by following the instructions in the email, though.
If you are wrongly violated (as I say, the one you described was a legit removal), go to the Forum, and Wrongful Deletions and appeal there.
But familiarize yourself with the Guidelines, and stick to them. You're much less likely to have stuff removed if you do.
Edit, after read the other answers and your Additional:
It is very wrong of Yahoo that replying to the notice yields no results, I agree.
They hide the only effective appeal process.
As for your Additional comment: No, the answer is for more people to report the non-questions and hate and other sludge.
That would clean up those categories so they'd have more real questions and wouldn't be so filled with garbage.
The answer isn't to give in to the trolls, but to get rid of them.

Not that I know of. I know that I have never got a reply when I received a violation notice. Even after a month has gone by and then I get a violation for something that was a month ago and long forgotten...I don't get that part at all!
My guess is they have this automated reply so to make people "feel" like they have a chance at getting it appealed. I have never heard of others getting it actually appealed...although I have seen many people LOSE their IDs over things like this though!

I've replied to every single violation notice . . . probably 10 to 15 in all. I have yet to receive anything beyond an automated reply.

you may, yet what you and your pal could desire to do is decide WHY they have been given the violations, so which you do not repeat the blunders. in case you prefer to appreciate the clarification for the violation, submit "Why grow to be this question (answer) a contravention?" and upload the unique e mail you got so the shoppers can see the miraculous context. The skilled shoppers here will clarify it to you.

I've never been able to get anything more than an automated response. They haven't closed your account yet, so I wouldn't worry about it.
