Feet are for walking to the bathroom. The bathroom is made for bodily functions best not done in public. Yet, a lot of people don't get that those bodily functions include nose blowing and passing gas. If someone has a cold, simply taking out a handkerchief or kleenex and wiping discreetly should get them through until they need to use the bathroom for the next nose blowing.

You are right on the money, or "you hit it right on the nose".

Nose blowing isn't high society behavior, nor is it a respectable practice at any social level while dining.

It is more respectable to excuse yourself and do it out of eye/ear reach, then return. How can being considerate of others be bad? If someone is that lazy to get up, let them know that it is disturbing and should be done away from the table. PLEASE LOOK THEM IN THE EYE WHEN YOU TELL THEM!!!!

You will be taken serious if you make eye contact, they shouldn't start an argument to defend their bad manners at that point.

It really depends. It can be very gross, I agree. Many times it seems like people just blow like theres no tomorrow, regardless of the fact that there is food on the table. However, I don't expect anyone to get up and leave if they just have to blow their nose. I don't. As long as they keep it subtle and quick, apologize or say excuse me, and DON'T USE THEIR NAPKIN (ew), I'm fine with it.

My mother in law used take out a used tissue lots of times during a meal. If you were sitting in sunlight, you could see all these small pieces of white dust and it would scatter all over the place. It really put me off. But it is worse if someone picks their nose. Don't you think?

I agree with you. It really grosses me out. It's almost as if somebody was taking a s hit next to me while I'm trying to eat. If they wipe their nose quietly, it's acceptable, but if they blow it then it's totally unacceptable in the dining area. They should excuse themself and go to the bathroom for that.

It depends on how people conduct themselves when blowing their noses. I personally put the tissue around my nose, blowing quietly, and try to be as quick as possible. No honking, or picking involved. If I'm trying to conscious of others, am I so wrong?

I think that what you said is wrong... Honestly blowing the nose just has to be done... especially when you have a cold... So I think you are very wrong... It is just natural to blow ones nose... So one should just do it... instead of sniffing and sniffing which makes in my opinion is worst...
