If you are going to work for Jack in the Box type of restaurant, then a good presentation is in order. What I mean by that is that there is a saying here in the business: "Dress to impress". What it means is this: Check out what the employees as to see how they are dressed and you should take it from there.

Jeans are way too casual for any job interview. Always present yourself in a modest, respectable outfit that suggests you are serious about working there.
Quiet solids and conservative casual will win them over. You aren't going to start right that day, so always dress a little better than the suggested daily attire. You will be remembered for how you dress, or under-dress.

I was in a work study program in high school. It said to dress slighly better than the job you are applying for. I would say jeans are out. I always wear nice attire such as Dockers or Polo pleated pants and a button up shirt.

A nice button-down blouse, with a nice pair of dress slacks or a skirt.
Jeans are to casual .
Do not go overboard with perfume, just a light scent (baby powder for example)

always dress the part!! I mean if you want the part no matter what it is...than dress up. It can be casual...but not too formal. No matter what...you will be judged on your attire. Skip the jeans...throw on some pants and a neat nice shirt and go...good luck...knock em dead!!

Nah, don't wear jeans. thats too casual. Instead, wear some khaki pants with a nice button or knit blouse/shirt to match. If you have long hair...put it up in a bun or something. To show off your neck & shoulders. Dudes find that attractive.

before your interview, go to the restaurant. notice how the staff are dressed. take a cue from what they are wearing.
it's the degree of "formality" of their uniforms, if their uniforms are khaki dockers, where dockers. if they're in formal attire, where business slacks and a dress shirt and tie.
As someone who was responsible for hiring/firing, it was never a good impression on me for someone to show up in jeans.

Business attire…you can never be overdressed, but you can be underdressed. It can't hurt to dress in business attire. What is wrong with looking professional, it will set a tone that you are taking this job seriously.

Please permit me, American Beauty, to answer this question for you.
My recommendation to you is this: check around to see what the other people are wearing and you should take it from there.
