If you don't have a date that means something to you that you definitely want to get married - here are some things to think about when finding a date....
*Your Budget - if you get married during the week instead of the weekend, you can save a bit of money (though you and your guests will have to take a day off - but who wouldn't want to skip work and go to a wedding - lol)
*Time Frame - wedding sites tell you to find your dress 9 - 12 months before your date (a little excessive, but it does take time to order a dress). You have to book certain vendors months ahead of time. Whatever date you pick, make sure you have time to plan enough to have the wedding just like how you'd want it.
But since you asked, here are some dates:
February 29, 2008 (leap year)
April 1 (April Fools)
April 15 (The Ides of March and Tax Day - you might want to skip this one, actually)
August 8, 2008 (08-08-08)
October 31 (Halloween)

Don't do memorial or labor day, a lot of guests won't make it. Don't do a major holiday either. If you are young, you might want to avoid summer because if your friends are all marrying age as well, they'll probably pick summer...and its really rough when you have a wedding every saturday from may to august (as a guest)! How about March 8, 2008? :)

Ok...do NOT pick a random date.
1st. Decide which month you all like the best. Do you like spring with the warm breezes, fragrant flowers, and delicate pastel colors?
Summer with Warm nights, no school for any kids involved, and vibrant colors? This also might be the easiest time for you to take a vacation from work.
Autumn, with its crisp cool breezes, beautiful changing colors, warm days and cool nights, and closer to the holidays.
Winter, with romantic cold, snow white and/or vibrant colors, close to holidays, and not as popular for wedding dates, so you'll get a better selection at a better price.
Once you decide on a month you can tailor the date to your schedule.

Mine is September 29, 2007 as well, but that only gives you four months. To me that's not very much time, unless you have lots of money. :) I also like the sound of 7/7/07 and 8/8/08. Otherwise I would just say don't get married in the same month as your birthday, cuz he'll try to lump the gifts together. :) I'm also avoiding other people's b'days, anniversaries, and holidays.

We're getting married on July 4, 2007. That way we can get up, get married, celebrate with some fireworks and stuff, and he'll never forget.
Just don't pick a day near Christmas, your birthday or Valentine's Day...men tend to lump anniversaries near those days INTO one of those days, and it takes away from that special event.
