I'm looking for a summer job, and there are four different places I want to apply. Do I apply to all four at the same time or one at a time?

I would apply for several. You may not get them all. And some employers may take a long time to make up their mind. Apply for them all. If you get a job offer, and you are still in regular communications with the other employers, you might want to tell them, especially if you like their job better. Good luck.

PS. I would not, however, accept an offer and then turn around and decline it. Be honest with the employers, and make up your mind when then offers come in.

Apply to them all. You'll have a much better shot of getting a job you'll like. Give the one you want the most a few days though, in case they are slower to respond than one of the others.

And remember, there's nothing wrong with accepting a job only to turn around and decline it due to you getting that summer job you've been wanting!

Apply for them all!

Worst case - you get 4 offers!

Don't worry about what job to take until they have offered you one...

Apply Apply Apply! (did I mention - apply?)

Seriously though - it is a best practice to apply to every opportunity that you are interested in - as some will not turn into job offers, and you need to make sure that your needs are met.

If you find yourself with 4 offers, then sit down and figure out which best suits your needs - but not until you have the offer in hand... don't turn down a job in hopes of one that hasn't come through yet...

Good Luck!

You can apply to 20+ jobs and not get one call back so absolutely. The more you apply, the better your chances are.

Apply for all 4 positions so if you are accepted at more than one you can make a rational decission on which one to take.

Uh, duh. The more you apply to, the better the chances.
