Remember: asking to "prove that christianity is not true" does not answer the question. I would love to believe in it but I can't becuase no one seems to be able to prove anything they say. Also disproving evolution does not make Christianity the default answer. Just answer the question please

I would be of a mind to say that this belief is something that started a long time ago. The early christian church lucked out with Constanine. Once they had this foot hold the only place left was more power and domination. As time progressed they continued to gain strength. They eventually controlled most of the known world and they began to systematically kill or imprison all heratics and non believers. The killed so many over the almost 1,000 years they were in power that the only people in Europe, Brittain, Russia, Italy, Africa, and yes the Middle East where christianized by the fear of death or crusades. Then some left and came to america where they continued on their murder spree only this time it was women they did not like and they called them "witches". Then sense and rational thought came back to the people in the form of Voltaire, Locke, and many others. The inspried the Founding Fathers of the US and they made a secular government that was freindly to all religions. Over time however this came to be preverted by the christians who think that these founding men where good christains and had not intended upon us being a secualr society. They then added things like " In God We Trust" to our money in the 1950's and also " One Nation Under God" to our pledge of allegeince. Then you have what we have today.
But to directly answer your question the modern christian has been infected by his parents who were infected by there parents and so on and so on. This will go all the way back to the fea of being killed for thinking outside the box during the inqusition. If we are to end the tyranny of all religions we must start by educating our children to the harsh realities of the world and the harsh history of the christian church. All christains want to disclaim or distance themselves from their history but it just does not work like that.
Christains we have seen what happens when you are in power and we will endevour to stop you from ever again regaining even a minute amount of the power that you weilded against an ignorant and defenseless people. So, keep fighting and those that have common sense and are able to think for themsleves with out the help of some idoit in the pulpit and we will be there to fight your brand of oppression, hate, and bigotry to the end.

HERES YOUR EVIDENCE,

(1) - the argument from motion. If you see some dominoes in a long row falling down, you know someone pushed them, nothing moves itself. And neither does the whole universe. Think of the universe as an enormous chain of dominoes, all moving. Something outside the chain must have started the movement in the beginning. Otherwise it couldn't move, because nothing can move itself.

(2)- The very existence of things, not just their movement. You need a first cause of existence just as you need a first cause of motion, because nothing can make itself exist if it isn't already there. Nothing can cause itself. If there's no God who eternally exists, how can existence begin? If there's no God who has existence by his own nature and doesn't get it from any cause, how can the gift of existence be passed down the chain of creatures, who borrow it from each other?

(3)- Everything dies, or ceases to exist. Now if there were no God who never died, who never ceased to exist, then eventually everything would die and nothing could begin again. And then there would be nothing at all.
The second law of thermo-dynamics says all energy gets dissipated, wears down. Even the galaxies get cold, if there were no God the universe would have slowed to a stop by now.

(4)- The fourth one is an easy one. In the universe some things are better than others, right? So there must be a best, a standard of goodness to judge all the relative "betters". One thing is closer to it than another. And this standard has to be absolute goodness.
You may say that everything is relative. There's no absolute. To what? Only God Himself.

(5)- The argument for design. Design proves a designer. And nature is full of design. Therefore there must be a Designer behind it all.

Simply put....most people cannot accept that they are a random product of billions of years of evolution. Even if we were evolved, the materials for evolution to occur would have to come from SOMEwhere, correct?

So to think that a "higher power" put us here would not be an illogical hypothesis. To that end, you would think that this higher power would want us to know why we're here and what he/she/it would like us to do with our time on earth--to know that our lives aren't just meaningless passings.

Therefore, we read the only evidence we know to be the higher power's message to the people on earth....the Bible. The Bible shows that God gives us a choice to believe or not. This belief is built on faith on what is unseen, rather than by what is seen with the naked eye.

We weren't there when the world began, so there is no evidence to support the evolutionary theory, so it's no more unusual to believe that we are part of a Divine Design than it is to believe that we were an evolution of space particles that formed over billions of years.

I find it much harder to believe that our world was created by chance. It would be like saying that a tornado blows through a pile of wood, steel and dust and out of that a fully operational airport was formed with working airplanes and pilots. That's what the evolutionary theory does to stagger the mind.

I would extend this question to include ALL religions of the world. What most people tend to lose is the big picture - man created god...god didn't reate man. God is merely a notion, something made-up by early humans to explain why things were the way they were. That's how early religion started. Not with Moses, not with Buddha, or anything even remotely close.

I wish society would open their eyes to this...we'd have so much less turmoil in the world if there was no such thing as religion.

Actually there are more and more findings from the science community that are begining to deflect the ideas of evolution in favor of creationism. Do you have "empirical evidence" that supports your beliefs? If so what are they.

Historical events are not supported by empirical evidence. Historical events are supported by historical evidence. There is more historical evidence to prove that Christ rose from the dead than there is historical evidence to prove many other historical events that people take for granted.

Because the alternative requires admitting that we don't have all the answers and accepting responsibility for one's own life and actions. And that's scary.

The world that God created,
The man that he created
Is enough evidence for someone with an open mind...

Because faith in fairy tales does not require any evidence.

That's the definition of faith. Belief with no proof.

My Good Friend!!...Can you explain, what happens to a person "after" he dies?
If your science can answer that....I will answer this question.
