If so, what did they do/act like? Did they get the demon out?

Yes, my friend's cousin was possessed and she drowned herself in a well in Catskills or w/e that place is, and ever since then, birds, and wild cats just randomly jump down the well, they probably die...but it hasn't happened be 4, and no 1 noes y they jump. The girl that was possessed was eventually left alone, she 1st tried hurting ppl, which turned into attempted murder, it was worse than any horror movie, it was hard for her family 2 be scared of her, but they were. Its horrible.

I have seen people possessed by what they and others THOUGHT was a demon. They acted like an animal would act if afraid or defensive, and said hateful things ( probably pent up anger on their part). The person performing the ritual said the prescribed prayers, and all was okay after wards, and they declared the demon gone.( and the "possessed" did not have to feel responsible for saying the horrible things, either---how convenient)

oh and let me add: There may be cases that are true, BUT they are FEW and FAR BETWEEN. My answer does not reflect out and out disbelief, but just a healthy dose of skepticism. There are people who would rather "blame the devil" for their feelings or actions. I don't believe EVERYTHING I see, because I weigh all things including: does the person have a history of mental illness? Is the person overly dramatic in other circumstances? Are they an attention seeking person in other cases?

I have, actually, been possessed by a demon. I can assure everyone here that it is quite real, and extremely unpleasant.

I was a christian at the time, a very devout believer, and it did nothing to guard me from demonic possession. I was even "spirit filled", though I now know that to be utterly useless mind numbing garbage.

One is possessed when a demon breaks into your energy and psyche and begins manipulating both.

It is extremely rare for a person to lose all control of themselves. Generally speaking there isn't alot of head spinning and mouth frothing.

A person who is possessed will merely seem different than they were before. Darker, more depressed, perhaps they will develop strange mannerisms.. And their normal energy signature will feel different.

They themselves might not even know what exactly is wrong. The possessed will generally feel dirty, tired, depressed, and frequently they will notice there are throughts and feelings intruding upon the mind that weren't there before.

You get rid of a demon by either prayer (this might not work, depending on the strength of the demon), or finding a shaman or healer who can forcfully remove the offending spirit.

I know this, that devil spirits seem to be possessing people all over the Earth, read John 8:42-47 This type of possession or influence is common as relates to me. Very few people seem to be able to tell me the truth! It does not seem to be affecting other people, but I am not them and I cant get a straight answer. I did not think that it could effect Gods people but I have been proved wrong. Check out my profile, I need help.

confident and it somewhat is horrifying. there are various demonic's strolling around on our streets daily. Demonic interest is rather good in to days international and could exchange into much extra so after the return of Jesus to retrieve His Saints. The Tribulation era is one super demonic blast. and what's even worse is that maximum of souls at the instant are not saved.

No.

I would like to see a treatise of the bible that compares the descriptions of demon possession, contact with God, etc. in light of modern medicine.

For example, Abraham heard God tell him to kill his son Isaac. Today, we know that schizophrenia produces symptoms that cause people to hear voices from God telling them to kill their children.

Demonic posession works the same way.

When people suffered from diseases or mental conditions without explanation in the ancient world, they were said to be possessed by demons. Today, we get them diagnosed and assigned an ICD-9 code.

Can somebody map the bible with ICD-9 codes so we can get rid of the concept of demon possession?

NO. Demon posession is MENTAL ILLNESS. If we could recognize this stuff foir what it is, there would be 15 children still alive in Texas today: those of Andrea Yates, Deanna Laney, Dina Schlosser, Dee Etta Perez, Lisa Ann Diaz, and that lady who hanged her kids this morning. If someone you love is hearing God, or satan or demons, GET THEM TO A PSYCHIATRIST.

Excorisms are not always "as seen on tv". I have seen a demon-possessed person who did not speak in their normal tone of voice and had looks that could kill. They were self-inflicting (cutting & burning themselves) and their voice was low and growly (and it was a female). When she talked, she spoke of herself in third person; as if it weren't really her, but something else inside of her. A lot of deacons and ministers tried to hold her down, but she was strong... very strong... she fought back furiously. Fortunately, after one touch from the preacher, she passed out... and awoke about an hour later feeling herself again and looking very tired. She was crying and thanking the Lord and hugging everyone.

Noone has ever been possessed by a demon.

There have been 'documented cases' but not a single one actually has a shred of evidence of demonic possession.

It's just a simple matter of people believing in stuff because they want to believe in it.

Yes, I worked for her, and no, they didn't get the demon out, she just moved on to a much higher paying position at another company. Evil is very profitable.
