I believe in a greater being. Not sure what it would be. Chances are it's a giant spagghetti monster that floats over us and rains tomato sauce on us that we occasionally mistake for blood and end up running screaming. On the whole I think that this greater being flipped a switch, there was a short circuit and it went BOOM! Since it's a greater being, it was not merely a short circuit but a tall circuit, and the BOOM was more like a BIG BANG, so the greater being scurried away in the hope that none noticed the explosion, while billions of years later strange muck started crawling out of the oceans on a planet called earth. If the greater being knew about his accomplisment, he probably would not have run away and denied everything but instead he would have boasted about how all he had to do was flip a switch, and only a few eons later, people would go crazy over the reruns of a fifth season of a putrid show about people stranded on an island ~giggles~
