Pineapple has an enzyme that breaks down proteins. Some skin care ingredients contain pineapple so this enzyme can help loosen old skin cells.
For shallow wrinkles or fine lines, the idea is to remove dead skin cells so the fresher cells are exposed. This process also makes it easier for moisturizers to penetrate & plump up the skin's surface.
Be careful when using raw fruit because you can have an allergic reaction - esp. w/ pineapple or papaya.

Fresh pineapple has enzymes in it that break down proteins - that is why if you eat fresh pineapple (I mean straight from the fruit - not the can!) your tongue will feel a little tingly. The enzymes in the fruit are breaking down.
Pineapple might be a good ingredient for exfoliation, but I dont think it will do much for wrinkles. It has no regenerative, soothing, or filling-in properties.

I have yet to hear of any pineapple remedies for wrinkles. However vitamin A and C are great for wrinkles. If you want more info and remedies on wrinkles, check out the site below.
