I try to give 'best answer' to someone who actually attempted to answer the question without being an asshole. Sometimes, there really aren't any answers. Like when I asked what Christian principles this nation is supposedly built on. Or when I asked what people would accept as proof that god doesn't exist, since they keep asking for it.

If I get a well thought out, intelligent answer from a religious person I'll usually choose that one.
Which means 99% of the time I pick the one that makes me laugh (as those types of answers are few and far between).

I am actually looking for well thought out answers from people they are addressed to. I am more than willing to change a stance if someone gives me good reason.
That being said, I find that most of my questions are not answered, and I am typically preached at with non related material.

I have the following criteria, any one of which would be met:
(1) A thoughtful and informative answer from anyone.
(2) A really funny answer.
(3) Someone who recently had their account zapped.

i look for an answer i agree with, & the answers i usually agree with are ones that make me think, or ones that have a reliable reference link relating to what i was inquiring.

I guess it depends on what i am asking, if its something that i do not know the answer to then i would go with the answer that is obviously educated, if its something that i knew but wanted my feelings validated then i would go with the one that corresponds to how i feel at the time.

One should ask questions that you want answered. Don't just look for the closest answer, look for the right one.

This is a GREAT question however remember Jesus said "if the blind lead the bling they will both fall by the wayside" so be careful who you ask and even more careful from whom you accept answers.

Why would I ask a question for which I already had an answer?
