I've asked this question 3 times (read my other questions please) and it seems NO one "KNOWS" Jesus. I keep getting answers of the historical Jesus, the Biblical Jesus, one man wrote that I quoted scripture wrong in Matt 7:15-23 Where Jesus said to unbelivers that he knew them not...so I guess he is saying you can't "KNOW" Jesus.

If I asked you to speak about a good friend, your mother, brother..you could go on and on about your personal "KNOWLEDGE" of this person because you "KNOW" them. NO one seems to know Jesus on a personal level..not one!

Is it correct to say: We ONLY have biblical & historical knowledge of Jesus...yet we cannot "KNOW" him like I know my own brother??

If you "KNOW" Jesus describe in "DETAIL" what he is like....NOT biblical quotes, not historic notes, NOT things like: he walks with me, he talks with me..bla,bla, bla...DO you "KNOW" him???????

give details.........or I'll assume you know him NOT

don't RUN from this question

Jesus said: He would be closer than a brother.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CLOSENESS...your first hand knowledge...OR

Just say I DON'T know Jesus other than the bible, and books

Yes, I know Him. He lives in my heart and His Holy Spirit guides me every day. He is kind and loving, protective, and sometimes a bit bossy / demanding because sometimes He INSISTS that I do things that I really don't want to do. (Like shut up when I really WANT to have the last word, or pick up somebody else's mess!)

I know Jesus (I don't have his number or anything,) I met him a few years back while working in San Francisco and gave him some Pizza because he was hungry and had no money for food (conveniently I was unable to finish my lunch so had it in Styrofoam takeaway container.) I only talked with him a short while (he doesn't look anything like his pictures by the way.)

He told me that Conway Twitty went to hell because country music is evil; actually I should quote it so I don't interpret the words of our lord incorrectly... and the lord said "There's only one thing I loathe more than the bubonic plague and that's country music [reflective pause] Conway Twitty went to Hell you know."

I've personally never believed in Hell as a construct where souls are sent for eternity so I asked him about it and although I don't remember the exact wording, he said hell is what we make of it and then asked me how I knew I wasn't already there. I agreed he had a good point and thanked him for talking to me and went on my way.

Interesting note, he didn't seem to mind pepperoni, which I thought had pork in it... but I guess he's not really to concerned about staying Kosher.

actually i saw your previous 2 Qs and was checking them from time to time to see if there was a satisfactory answer because this is an excellent question....unfortunately ,as a Buddhist,i have no idea to answer this.i believe that a wise man called Jesus lived, but i don't believe in any divine being of any sort....hope you succeed in finding the answer :)

none of the people here seem to be giving a satisfactory answer do they?

He comes over to my place every weekend..... we get some strippers to come over & we drink jello shots off their cleavage. He's really a nice guy..... but he doesn't understand where everyone is getting this whole "savior" stuff. He never turned water into wine..... He just had a bunch of those wine-in-a-box things.... and he just went around & filled everyone's glasses when they weren't looking... He also slipped a couple of roofies in a couple of the chick's drinks...... Oh i am not allowed to talk about that. I promised him. Sorry!

they pretend to.

it's like "knowing" harry potter, or peter pan, or some other mythical character.

it's a delusion. and it's strange to hear them mumble about such nonsense...

jeff, your avatar looks kinda hot. how can i get to "know" you?
