Islam is often bashed but the questions and answers that involve islam bashing are quickly removed because they are almost always reported. I probably bash Christianity 10 times more than I bash Islam, yet I find 10 times as many violation notices for my questions or answers involving Islam than I find for those involving Christianity. It's like they're attacking any anti-islamic statement with a suicide bomb (except for the suicide part).
And there's no real reason to bash Buddhism because it is a peaceful religion in both description AND IN PRACTICE.

Please do just a little more research - pray tell me where the criticism of any other religion or non believers comes from any other religion than Christianity?
Name another religion or grouping that refuses to believe science and decries it!
The reason for the anti-Christian rhetoric is clear!!! Bad Christian postings!!!!
Just look at the so called Christian postings on here and then look at the answers -unnecessarily provocative questions provoke a very good medium for Christian critics!!!
It would also appear that a lot of Christian postings are by very young and immature people which also does not help.
I frequently criticise pseudo Christians on here for dragging the church down and being so fundamental and critical as to have stopped being Christian and being ideologues - there is a huge difference. I then get a lot of emails from good Christians saying "keep it up"!
It is a sad fact that churches are loosing more people by the day, even the Roman Catholic church. It is not science, atheism or anything like that, that is doing it - it is the bad Christians destroying the church from the inside!!!
Remember preaching hatred, hell and damnation pushes people away. The good Christian tells of a loving, inclusive and forgiving God and draws people in!

The identify is only faith & Spirituality - it does no longer state you are able to desire to be professional or anti. as a result it somewhat is a place to debate comments from all aspects and that's what makes it interesting. as an occasion, contained in the Parenting section there'll be comments left by employing those that have not have been given childrens, would not recommend that they have got not got a appropriate to grant parenting advice.

> Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. How come no one bashes them?
uh-oh! that would be discrimination! but bashing Christians is simply freedom of speech.
Another explanation: mass psychosis, which compels people in each and every case to identify with "underdog" (minorities, people from inferior socio/economic circumstances, those with special needs, etc)

I am saying this without malice but the other religions just seem to want to share their beliefs with each other. The Christians seem to want to convert everyone and are quite free with bible quotations. It can be a bit annoying to non Christians. I haven't said this with the intention of offending anyone. Just trying to say it as I see it.

Do you really expect people of other faiths to get bashed by christians and not reply in some way? Christians won't 'turn the other cheek', and they were instructed to! And I rarely see a person of another faith bashing atheists or people of differing faiths.
Actually, as an atheist, I see lots of misconceptions about atheism on this site, and try to debunk them, like no, atheists do NOT worship the devil. Christians see this as an 'attack' somehow.

Same reason Christians spend a lot of their time gleefully imaginning the rest of us burning in hell fire forever. You do it in your churches on on our sidewalks everywhere in the world. For some reason, the folks who sponsor this don't even have to pay taxes. If you kept your religion inside your house (by which I mean in your own private homes or in your churches) then non-believers would probably leave you alone.
Yesterday I had to stand in a crowded subway while one of your zealots yelled at people, damning them. No kidding, he had spittle coming out of his mouth. If I did that I'd be arrested.
You think you're special and you can do your think wherever and whenever you want... so the rest of us take the same liberty against you.
At least I don't fleck you with spittle, and leave you alone on the subway.

Because this is a religion and spirituality section. Non-believers take every chance they get to ridicule and bash believers and there are some believers that retaliate as well.
Christianity takes such a beating because the bible says we will be persecuted. Satan knows we are gaining on him and he is out to deceive as many as he can.

Puh...lease, get off the cross. I, personally, give it to all religions equally. Of course, the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions are among the most repressive.

There are plenty of whiners on both sides of this debate. Everybody needs to get over themselves and get on with their lives.
Atheists, you live in a world where people have religious beliefs.
Deal with it.
Christians, there are people who choose not to believe.
Deal with it.
Chill out and enjoy life or it'll be over before you know it.
