The most annoying one is..
Christian: "I believe in god and nobody can be good without god."
Response: "I don't believe in god but I'm, on the whole, good. Just as good as you and I know lots of others."
Christian: "No, you are not. You and your friends are evil because you have no god."
Response: "You are judging me by your stupid religion."
Christian: "No, GOD SAYS you can't be good without him."

Somewhat, but I also understand that it is consistent.
If their view of the world is correct, as they believe, it *does* apply to everyone.

The nature of the universe does not depend on personal belief. The Earth is not flat or round acording to personal conviction.
God is not there only for those who believe and non-existent only for those who don't. One category or the other (at least!) is badly mistaken about the nature of things.

So if I have frustratiions they are more focussed elsewhere, perhaps on *some* Christians equating confidence in a viewpoint with proof of its validity.

Yeah, especially when they apply rules that they don't even live by to other people. They'll condem homosexuals based on a verse from Leviticus, but when asked why they break other rules from the same book, they say mosaic law only applies to Jews. Uh HELLO! Not every homosexual is a jew!!

I'm Jewish, and I do find it a bit annoying, but also somewhat pathetic, in the true sense of the word. Their "well, of course everybody believes such-and-such" attitude tells me that a great many of them have never thought about what they or anyone else really believes; they're just following the other sheep, and seem to have very little initiative to think for themselves.

You should be so lucky to live in a Christian nation, where religion is only presented to you and not shoved down your throat.

What if people killed you for simply looking at a man the wrong way? What if people stoned you for the honor of your family? What if people did not give you the option to choose other religions?

I'm not an atheist...but wouldn't your question apply equally as well if phrased like this: "Christians: Do you find it annoying when atheists think their beliefs apply to everyone?"

Just askin...

My Christian buddies are my buddies with the aid of fact they are actually not attempting to "restoration" me (or others), that's the Christian habit that has a tendency to hardship me. saying grace earlier eating? not a controversy for me in any respect. i somewhat have faith in letting human beings being who they're.
