Why would you want to do that? Did you but the puppy as a means to make money? If you did, that's horrible.

You're a troll, aren't you?

Just in case you're not, NO! Breeding a puppy during it's first heat is like an 11 year old girl having babies.

And since you know so little about the subject, you shouldn't be breeding at all until you've done a lot more research on the subject. And not with this dog, since any breeder that would sell a puppy at 6 weeks is not producing quality animals.

No, you must wait until your dog is 2 years old to breed her for a very good reason that most people don't realize.

Your dog will be mature enough at 2 years of age. A dog must be more than a puppy herself in order to make a good mother. She will have a smaller chance of abandoning, neglecting, or killing her puppies. She will also be full grown, so giving birth will be easier.

If you want to be a breeder, you have to educate yourself first and make sure you have the time, money, and good homes for all of the puppies. If you just do it with no vet check ups when the momma dog is pregnant or anything, you could risk losing momma and/or the pups. Please make a clear headed decision, as this takes a TON of responsibility.

Breeding dogs isn't a good way to make money at all, it really costs a ton.

Good luck! :)

Absolutely not. This is dangerous to the health of the puppy. You should not have a puppy at six weeks of age, that is too young to separate a pup from it's Mom.

Are you planning on breeding your dog in order to sell the puppies and make money? You had better rethink this whole venture, not to sound mean; but if you do not know what you are doing, you can injure your puppy.

There are too many unwanted dogs in shelters and puppy mills now.

You need to do more research and educate yourself on the breeding of dogs.

Good luck with your puppy.

NO! that would be like breeding your ten year old (human) daughter! do you think she would be emotionally prepared for that kind of thing? she will reject the puppies likely, or the puppies will likely die. Why do you want to breed her anyway? unless she is a grand champion show dog or an unbelievable working dog, she should not breed at all. If you insist on being irresponsible, do not breed her until she is two years old. do her a favor and get her spayed.

It depends on her age. Most of the time they come in heat when they are 8-10 months old. If she is a small dog I would wait otherwise she may not be able to have the puppies by herself plus sometimes if they are too young they won't take care of there puppies. If she is a bigger dog go ahead. Good luck!!

I would say no- wait until the second heat and do not keep breeding the dog- it is too much for her. In my opinion that is a lot for a puppy to go through- wait until she is a little older. I think experts say over a year old is a perfect time.

I would say no. There is already a pet overpopulation problem and too many dogs and cats end up in shelters. If your dog is a purebred with impeccable breeding lines, maybe. But if she is just a pet, I would get her fixed and just keep her as a pet. Let people adopt dogs that really need homes from shelters instead and give your dog a comfortable life with you as a family member, not as a money maker.

It's probably pointless to beg you not to bring more puppies into the world that will take up homes that could be for all the waiting strays.

Just promise me (and the future puppies) that you will do your research into b itch pregnancy, whelping and puppy care, including diet and proper flea, worming and vaccination regimes! Don't become one of the people who post on here in a panic because their dog is already in labour and they haven't yet found out what to expect!

First, how did you even get a six week old puppy?? They shouldn't be separated from their mothers till they are at least 8 weeks. And to answer your question, no it is still to young to successfully breed and care for puppies.

NO!!! You should wait until the dog is 18-24 mo old. Tiy shouldn't even be thinking about it before then. A dog also should not be bred every heat. I know some breeders who do that and it is very cruel. The best thing to do is to have your dog spayed,.
